First Day being Great

My daily strategy: wake up and survive. My mom keep calling from downstairs

"Annika you come down this instant!"

I looked at the clock and it is 6:30. My eyes widened and hurried downstairs to our hallway and got my towel and went to the bathroom. I hurried to take a bath and dressed up instantly. After dressing up, I combed my hair and looked at myself in the mirror. My hair is a big mess with tangles and my clothes are not put on properly. I grinned and fix them. Even though I have little time, I always alotted myself a minute to fix my hair and look at myself. I braided the sides of my hair and meet them. One Last Time I said. I looked at myself in the mirror, my brown hair tied neatly, my eyes sparkling with excitement for a new day ahead. My t-shirt, a dark blue Tshirt with fancy letters in it, denim shorts and brown boots.

"Perfect" I said

"Annika come down here this instant or I will go up there!!!"

"Coming mom!"

I scurried down he staircase and went straight to the door.

"You don't dare to not give your mother and father a kiss?"

"Oh. sorry mom and dad."

I gave them each a peck in the cheeks and went straight to the door. My friend Katelyn is waiting outside the door.

"Really? you have waited me for 1 hour?"

"Sorry Katelyn"

I smiled then I saw Mrs. Arrein in the driver's seat. Mrs. Arrein is Katelyn's mom and she always gave us a ride since first grade and her habit of keeping us safe doesn't change and now that we are Sophomores

"Sorry Mrs. Arrein for being late."

As I opened the door of the backseat and me and Katelyn hopped in.

"It's ok dear, remember seatbelts!" Mrs. Arrein said

"Mom, you can't always remind us, we are sophomores now remember?" Katelyn complained

"Don't worry kids, I just want my babies to be perfect for the first day of school!" Mrs. Arrein gave us each a wide smile

"Mom, we are not babies anymore!" Katelyn complained

"OK, ok! let's drive!" she gave me a smile and a wink

I smiled to her. Katelyn's mom is like my second mom to me than my teachers or aunts. Also, she and my mom are bestfriends since we are in first grade. I stared at Katlyn's clothes she often wears skirts and blouses with blazers and doll shoes

"What?" She caught my strare and I took off my eyes off her.

"Nothing" Instead, I looked at the window. And I didn't realized that we are in school.

"We're here!" Mrs. Arrein announced with a big smile in her face

"Bye mom!" Katelyn kissed her mother in the left cheek and I kissed her in the right cheek.

"Remember. GOOD LUCK!"

"OK mom!" Katelyn said

We got off the car and waved at Mrs. Arrein. We turned around and saw our friends standing in front of us.

"HI!!!" They said in harmony
