Chapter

You can't save them once the light dies they will too.

"Ilta you there?" Charlotte asks breaking me of my daze.

"Yeah I am. Just distracted." I answers after snapping out of her daze to look around the room.

"Well let's go unless you want to be late." Charlotte says as she heads for Ilta's truck, with me following right behind. Together they get into the truck, with Ilta driving.

"The view is beautiful even covered in snow." I remark still concentrating on driving.

"Sometimes I wish I was brave enough to go into the woods, but I'm not so I only see them from a distant." Charlotte admits to me.

"Sometimes fear is what keeps us alive to see tomorrow." I say as though it was someone else speaking. Charlotte not knowing what else to say or lost in her thoughts looks out the trucks window.

"We're here." I say as I pull up into Jason's drive way. Charlotte and I both get out of the truck then head inside the one story wood and glass house that his family uses in the summer. I introduce Charlotte to Jason than head off knowing she is in good hands. I find myself on the porch looking out at the woods.

They will die because of you Celia, do you remember what happened before?

I walk off the porch trying to get rid of the voice that gets stronger as every midsummer goes by.

Let me show you you're past and your future Celia.

I start running into the forest trying to clear my mind and hoping the voice will stop, but it never does.

Don't run Celia it only makes it worse.

Now in the middle of the forest I scream

"Go away I don't want to know!" but the voice starts up again.

You can't escape me, I am a part of you.

The world fades from my view leaving something far worse than the voice.

"Celia I'm scared." A small boy around eight cries as I hold him. Looking around I seem to be in an old wooden building, with two children. The boy has dark brown hair, crystal blue eyes, and a slender frame.

"Celia are we going to be okay?" A girl around fourteen asks me, with her arms around my waist. She's wearing

"We are going to be fine." I answer confident for some reason. I look down and see I'm in an old Victorian styled dress. Then three men come through the metal door.

"Come with us." The leader of the group tells me as his two followers grab me roughly. Being dragged to a different room I see a beautiful young woman around sixteen with hair that shines like gold, green eyes rimmed with a chocolate brown, delicate pink lips, and porcelain skin.

"Hello Celia we meet again." The woman says her voice a melody to my ears.

"Who are you?" I ask confused as to why this lady would want with me.

"My name is Seraphina, you are the reason why I must live these cursed lives." Seraphina tells me.

"I am sorry for that but, what does it have to do with me?" I ask still confused as to what she wants.

"The reason does not matter, all that matters is you die." Seraphina states calmly pulling out a sword as she talks. I am mesmerized by the sword as she lifts it then plunges it into my belly.

"Why?" I ask coughing up blood the darkness consuming me as I take my last breath staring at someone so beautiful, ruined by hatred.

The vision disappears and I am safely tucked away in my bed I fall back asleep telling myself it is all a dream.
