Lost in Italy

Chapter 10

Peyton walked out to her terrace and watched as the sun set. She had been here for about two weeks and didn’t want to leave. She had been spending time with Maria who has been home because she just had a baby. She was very friendly and welcoming she felt part of the family and that was bothering her. She only saw Antonio at night because he was at the office, but she didn’t mind he always made sure that he spent time with her.

Last week he took her to Naples and they had the best pizza she had ever had. They spent the day together and she knew from then that she was falling head over hills for him. She still hasn’t said it out loud. She didn’t want to face the rejection from Antonio he was just being nice to her and here she goes and falls for him.

Her fingers brushed her lips as she remembered the peck that he gave her when she first got here. That kiss seemed to create a chain reaction. Every touch after wards seemed to be causing her body to react. They still held hands when they were out. He always walked her to her room before he went to bed. She smiled thinking about him. If they asked his family they would say that they are seeing each other they just don’t know it. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t hear the knock on the door or it opening.

“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” a silent scream left Peyton’s mouth “Don’t do that. You scared me”. Antonio smiled he left work early hoping to spend some extra time with Peyton she always had a way to keep him entertained. He watched her as she turned back to the sun set. The light from the sun had her hair looking like black ink. He just wanted to run his fingers through it and wanted to know if it felt as smooth as it looked.

“How was your day, Your early” Antonio smiled he didn’t think that she noticed. “Yes I thought that I could take you out for dinner tonight. You have been indoors for the past couple of weeks” Peyton looked up at him and sighed. She would never tell him this but she had been waiting for him today. She had spent the day with the woman shopping and all. His birthday party was coming up and she wanted to be presentable to be at his side.

That thought had her blushing. She was seriously falling but she didn’t have time for this. During her time here she still hasn’t come up with any plans to get rid of Paolo yet and her stay here was almost up. She had been living here and forgetting about her problems back home. If she didn’t come up with a plan she would just have to face the music.

Antonio wanted to know what was going on in her head. She was frowning and her saw the sadness in her eyes. Whenever that look came across her face he knew that she was thinking about Paolo and her situation. “Tesoro you are thinking too much again” She smiled at him. “What time should I be ready?”

They came home after the sun had risen the next morning. Amelia was already in the kitchen getting breakfast ready when they try sneaking past “Tony! Don’t you think you’re a bit old to be sneaking into the house with a girl? Even if she is staying in the house” Peyton let out a laugh “Told you that she would notice” Rolling his eyes at them both “We weren’t sneaking” Amelia laughed “Go get some sleep your family starts arriving tomorrow and the Party is tonight and you don’t need to be looking like you haven’t slept especially with your business rivals around”

“Peyton?”  Maria called as she slowly opened the door to Peyton’s room. The curtains were closed and she could see someone in the bed. “Peyton!” Maria called again Peyton groaned she was tired from her all night rendezvous with Antonio “Maria I’m tired go away” she had become very comfortable with Maria and she knew about Paolo. Maria laughed “Peyton you have two hours to get ready before our guests arrive” That made Peyton sit up “What?” Maria watched as Peyton rushed to the bathroom.
