Lost in Italy

Chapter 12

Paolo watched from his bed as Gina got dressed. For someone in her situation he found her to be a good roll in the hay. “Look this is just for now until we both get what we want so don’t get any ideas” Gina stated after she was done. Paolo just looked at her “Don’t worry love you’re not marrying material” he said with a grin. She narrowed her eyes at him “not for the likes of you I’m not” She grabbed her bag and left.

While walking to her car Gina felt a tingle up her spine. The one you get when you feel like you are being watched. She turned around to find no one. She hurried to her car. She knew the repercussions of being found with Paolo. Not only will her family never forgive her but she may have the police to deal with as well if things go sour. Everybody knew about Paolo and his temper. If he didn’t get what he wanted the legit way he would go through the back door. She felt some pain for Peyton. She knew that Paolo would rather have her killed than to let her be with Antonio. She shrugged that was what she got for trying to take what was hers.

When she got home she showered and changed clothes before Derek got home. She had to make up one hell of a story about why she was seen with Antonio but he believed her and it was only because he loved her, like she loved him, but he was not what she wanted in a husband that’s why she kept giving him excuses as to why it wasn’t the right time to get married. If he had money then she wouldn’t mind staying with him and being a family but he wasn’t the man her family saw her being with. Firstly he was American she could look past that but her father wanted her to marry an Italian like Antonio and secondly he wasn’t rich he was Antonio’s second and her mother couldn’t look past that.

So she figured that she could have the best of both worlds marry Antonio and have Derek as her lover he wouldn’t mind he would have her any way he could even if it was only part time. After fixing her make-up she heard Derek come in “Gina?”  “In here” He found her siting on the already made up bed. He knew she hadn’t slept here but because he loved her he looked past it.

“What time is the appointment?”  Gina walked up to the man she loved and kissed him. “We still have a few hours before we have to go. We could find something else to do until then” She purred in his ear while undoing his tie. Pulling away from her Derrick looked at the woman who claimed to love him. “You still smell like whoever you were with last night” He walked away from her and towards his closet. “I’m going to take a shower then try to get some sleep, wake me when we have to leave.” With that said he went to the bathroom.

Gina had nothing to say. She slumped on her bed and let her tears fall. She didn’t want to lose him, but she wasn’t going to give up her lifestyle for him. She wiped her tears more confident that things needed to hurry up or she would lose everything. She got up and grabbed her purse she had to see the one man that could help all this get done.

Paolo walked out of the bathroom to find his phone ringing. “Hello” he had a guy following Payton around. He wanted to know where she was, who she was with, what she was doing right down to what she ate. When he was told that he hadn’t seen Peyton for almost two straight days Paolo went into panic mode. He knew Augello was up to something. He knew he wanted his Peyton for himself but that won’t happen. He was holding one last card up his sleeve. She was going to fold or lose everything.

He hung up with his informant to call someone he counted on. “Hello” the other person answered “It’s not working. Its time” He pulled his ear away when a string of cuss words came from the phone “look just do it. My guy hasn’t seen her in a while and we don’t know what’s going on inside of those walls” He was assured he would be called when it was done

After getting dressed he saw the name of a restaurant come through as a message. He smirked the woman couldn’t get enough of him. He was willing to be with her until he got his prize. Getting dressed he found the car he used when he didn’t want people recognizing him.

As he took the back way into the restaurant he met with the people who were going to help him get his bride.

 One way or the other.
