Chapter 40

Nobuyuki

After taking deep breaths, I clenched my sword's handle tightly, hearing it rattle. "Just... What ARE YOU!?" I gritted my teeth as I actually feel really tired inside, my heavy breath just make my neck feel like its tearing inside. I can't keep up with this guy!! How can I defeat him!? I thought as I just ran towards him, and keep clashing with the masked guy.
When I thought I caught him with his guard down, he punched me really deep in the gut, causing me to cough up blood. "HACK!! ugh!" I flew back,screeching against the dirt, as I felt the ground scrape the side of my arm as it tears my sleeve. I lie there feeling numb everywhere, including pain.
"Ungh... Kh!" I realized that my elbow had been messed up badly, seeing huge deep cuts. "Damn it!!" My hand that held my sword lost grasp and the flames around it went out.
I'm going to have to use my other hand--

"Gah!" I watched as the gas masked had gotten kicked hard into the face and he flew back screeching against the dirt as clouds of dust flew in the air, making hard to see the person who just kicked him. "You okay... Nobuyuki?" I looked up to see a girl in purple pigtails in a uniform and some sort of collar around her neck. She looks similar to me and Takeo...
...! Is she maybe--
"Damnit!! You little girl!!" In the dust, you could see the gas masked dudes shadow, it seems he was holding to his face. He put his mask back on. "Heh, Sorry that gas mask just really bothered me since it seems so~ familiar to the previous person that I fought with. Oh wait...It's you." I watched as the girl got in stance, she took out a long sword, almost six feet tall. "That sword...its similar to mine and Takeo's... There's no doubt she's--" the girl looked back at me, smirking.
"Rest up a bit, alright Big brother?" She winked and stuck her tongue out as she fights the gas mask.
Big...brother...?

[Flashback...]

"Mother! Father said that there was supposed to be three of us, so was there really another one besides me and Takeo?" Mom stood silent, and nodded. "So two little siblings... What happened to my little brother...?" Mom smiled a bit.
She patted my head "Nobuyuki, your second young sibling was a girl...she was the second oldest, then Takeo would be the youngest..." I made a bit of a frown face. "A sister? I bet she's annoying... But where is she anyway?" Mom's smile slowly faded. "Me and your father took you and your little sister out for a walk, you were only one and she was still a baby....Then later on that day, your dad was watching her playing with her. You're dad was caught off guard, so people in cloaks had kidnapped your sister...leaving your dad wounded."
"My sister got kidnapped and hurt Daddy...? Those men will pay for this!" I balled my fists in rage. "I know sweety..."

My flashback slowly ended with mom patting my small head.
She's my sister no doubt....
"My ...sister...!" I watched the girl still fighting the gas mask.
"What's--" she swung her fist at the guys face almost breaking the guys mask "With you--!?" Flames glowed on her fist.
Purple flames...
"Amethyst flames..." My eyes widened. It's my sister after all....!!
