Chapter Two: I'm sorry
Carter's mother's P.O.V
"Hello this is 911, how may we help you?" the female on the other side of the line said.
"T-there's someone in my house. He is here somewhere I am sure of it. He- Oh My God!" A loud breaking glass' noise cut me off.
"Hello? Miss?"
"He just broke one of my windows with a vase that was outside next to my door!" I shouted through the phone staring at the broken glass on the floor.
A blood curling scream took my attention as I ran to the living room to find my husband on the ground laying in a pool of blood, his own blood, with a knife inserted in his chest.
No noise came out from me as the other lady spoke through the phone,
"Miss? Where are you now?"
"I-" my voice was cut off by a tight grip on my neck. I was being suffocated and I was struggling for air. Then, in one move, the person behind me cracked my neck and I fell to the ground.
Carter's P.O.V
The music filled my ears and I was enjoying it. I glanced at my phone and saw the time. I told my mother I'll be down like half an hour ago. I put my headphones down and get on my feet.
I was making my way to the door when it flew open, revealing the black silhouette of an unknown man. I screamed as I tried to make my way out of the room. He blocked my way so I took a few books from the table next to me and threw them on him, and I managed to run out of the room.
"Oh my God, oh my God no no no," I cried out.
I ran in the hallways, the man running behind me. I ran downstairs and was about to get in the living room when someone pushed me in a wall and I shouted and struggled for release.
"Carter! Calm down! It's me, Detective Stevens," he said.
I looked around looking for the man that was pursuing me, but he was nowhere to be seen.
I glanced at the living room only to be terrorized by the sight in front of me. My parent's laid on the ground, clearly dead.
"I'm sorry," Detective Stevens said as he put his hand on my shoulder.
I collapsed on the ground, crying my heart out.
That's my stalker who broke in, I'm sure of that.
And he murdered my parents.
