Chapter 3

Laura's P.O.V. (Two years later, so we are all seventeen years old)

Today my half-brother, Jason Grace, is coming to visit. He goes to Camp Jupiter instead of Camp Half-Blood because he is a Roman demigod. Somehow Mrs. Grace got Zeus to have two children with her, and since he couldn't have two children while he was in the same form, when they had Jason, Zeus was in Roman form instead of Greek. So that is why Jason goes to a different camp. I'm so excited for him to come. When I first met him, we became friends instantly. He's really cool. I can't wait to see him!

"Hey Laura!" I heard someone call. I turned around to see a grinning Jason walking towards me.

"Hi Jason!" I called running over to hug him.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I'm good. You?"

"Same. Hey, have you seen Piper?" I laughed. Piper is Jason's girlfriend. Of course he wants to see her. I'm good friends with Piper too, and I know she's super excited to see him.

"Yeah, c'mon," I answered.

"Okay," He said.

We walked towards the Aphrodite cabin. As we walked by, people said hi to Jason. He had been here awhile ago, so some people new and liked him.

"JASON!" I heard someone shout. I looked to where the voice was coming from and saw Piper charging towards us.

"PIPES!" Jason yelled back. He ran towards her and grabbed her into a hug. Bleh. Gross. Oh well. Maybe it will be like that for me one day. Maybe. I doubt it. I don't think anybody likes me that way. I've been here two years and no ones ever asked me out, but I don't care about dating, it's just a waste of time in my opinion. In the meantime, the two love birds are busy going *smoochy smoochy*, which I don't care to watch.

"I'm going to go get lunch Jason!" I yell as I start to walk away. He doesn't seem to notice. Oh well, I'm sure he'll figure it out. He's smart. As I go to the mess hall, I pass by Percy and Annabeth, who are busy talking. They've been going out for a while now. Few months, I think.

"Hi Percy! Hi Annabeth!" I call.

"Oh, hey Laura!" Percy called.

"Hi!" Called Annabeth.

"What are you guys up to?" I asked.

"Nothing much. We were just talking about that new prophecy," Percy answered.

"Yeah, we were wondering who might go," Annabeth said.

"Oh. Um, cool?" I say.

"Yup. So, is Jason here yet?" Percy said.

"Yeah, he's busy having a make-out scene with Piper," I reply.

"Lovely," Annabeth said sarcastically.

"Yup. I'm gonna go get lunch and wait for Jason. Bye!" I said walking away.

"Bye!" They called after me.

I go to the mess hall and sit at the Zeus table to wait for Jason. I see Kitty at the Poseidon table, poking at her salad. She's a vegetarian; the satyrs all love her. I look at the Athena table and see Danielle talking with some of her siblings. I get my lunch and when I come back Jason is sitting at the table.

"What do they have out for lunch today?" Jason asked.

"They have some sandwiches, salads, chicken and hamburgers, and some veggies," I answer. Jason goes to get his food and I head to the fire to give Zeus an offering. I get there and scrape some of my chicken into the fire and mumble a quick prayer to Zeus, then head back to the table. I start eating and wait for Jason to come back. When he does, I look at his lunch. Chicken, veggies and a small salad. I ask my goblet for some root beer and it quickly fills up. I take a sip then start back on my food.
