Harry rubbed his eyes until he got used to the bright light of the sun after his time in the subway. When he finally opened them, he was left stunned. Nothing at all reminded him of the city he arrived in that very morning, but neither of Diagon Ally, back home.
Tall colorfull glass-constructed buildings were boarding the streets. Lights -blue, yellow, red, green and all other sorts of colours- were enlighting even the darkest ally in the city.
"Welcome to Underground town! Or as I like to call it, Old-York."Harry was left frozen in front of the portal, while Natasha was walking away. She turned around and called him to follow her.
Harry was walking on the sideway near Natasha, observing the stores on the bottom of the buildings. They were so much more colorful than those in Diagon Ally. Harry could see a big store with displayed spinning broomsticks, as they were cars, named "Black Lightning broomsticks".
Next to that, there was a slightly smaller shop with a big fridge on the front. Inside the fridge, there were deep bouls, each one with a spoon inside, and in those bouls there was somekind of a sparkly sweet food. It looked like ice cream who someone spilled glitter on. The label of the store was a dragon with opened wings, who instead of spitting fire, was spitting ice. Bellow him was written with icy blue letters the phrase: "Frosty clouds" .
A little further, there was a big white building with purple glass on its windows. Outside there was a list with shops' and stores' names. There was one called "Cherrien", an other called "Mark Antonio" and an other called "Eclod&Anavag". Or at least those were written with the biggest letters in that board.
Natasha was still walking past all the stores, until she stopped in front of a quite small but colorful house. Besides its modern glass windows nothing about it matched the theme of the big city.
"Wait here." She ordered Harry and got in the house.
Harry obeyed. Well at least until he got tired of waiting and started walking around the little house. He jumped over the wooden fench which was separeting the back yard from the driveway. While looking, Haary though he was tall enough to look behing the fench. Full of curiosity, he moved towards the house. But before he reached his destination, the ground below him opened, leaving a deep dark hole for Harry Potter to fall into.
Harry felt tiny ropes or thin cloths slowing him down from his fall. He felt a bit greatful at the moment, because he wasn't smashed when he finally hit the ground. When he stood up he was covered in silvery spider-webs. He felt an itching under his shirt and started turning around and around trying to scratch his back. Finally, he felt a small bite on his back between his shoulders and a tarantula fell down the floor. Harry saw it, and tried to squish it on the floor with his foot, but he did not step on the spider. Instead, the only thing he was able to kick was a protective dome spell someone had casted on the hairy insect. A man's voice was heard from somewhere in the darkness sourounding Harry:
"That's not very nice." He said. "Come on Trixie, you've done your job well."
Harry could now discern the man's figure moving around, without ever stepping in the light.
"What...? What do you mean? What job?"
"Oh, so you're not interested in learning who am I?"
"Well, of..." Harry began to say, but the man didn't allow him to finish his sentence.
"I am Hector." He said proudly. "Surname doesn't matter right now to you." He quickly continued.
"All right, <<Hector>>, what do you want. Why did you have your spider bite me?"
"Had her bite you? No. No. No. You had me all wrong. Trixie was simply ordered to bring you safely to the ground. Now if she had bitten you, she must have been defending herself from your vicious and violent hands..." the man in the shadows said, a bit hironically.
Harry looked at him doubtfully. He didn't trust this new appearance. He raised one of his eyebrows, then both, he took a deep breath and asked craftily:
"And what are you supposed to be doing in the bottom of a dark hole? And, more importantly, why the bloody hell do you want me to be here?"
"I wanted you to be here, now it's over. Go back to where you came from!" The man said briskly and did a big but quick movement with his arm.
Harry felt himself beginning to float. He started getting higher and higher, like an invisible gigantic hand had caught him and was pulling Harry out of the dark pit. When he finally reached the top, he was left gently on the floor. Harry looked down but there was no more dark hole in the ground. He continued looking at the ground, his eyes filled with curiosity.
Suddenly the llittle house's door opened, hitting mightily the wall. Natasha came out looking furious. She said coldly to Harry "Let's go." and walked away. Harry frouned for a moment, but he quickly got used to the return of Natasha's voice in its first cold and unexpressed tone. He walked swiftly until he reached her. Then slowed down. He was about to ask what happened when Natasha interupted him:
"There has been a new event that changed our schedule. You must be at the Ministry in ten minutes"
Natasha quickened her step until she reached the dead end of an ally, abandoned but still not unfriendly. She took out her wand and draw an "M" on a red brick. Instantly a glass elevator was shaped magically next to the wall. Natasha pressed the one of the two button's, the one shaped like an arrow aiming at the ground.
The elevator started moving, and the light of the sun started fainting...
