Harry needed to leave U.K. for a bit. After what he and his friends have been through during the last year, he deserved some free time for relaxation away from all his problems.

So he decided to spend some time on the other side of the Atlantic: New York City, U.S.A..

Hermione had suggested to him simply fly there, but Harry didn't want to. The trip was too far for him to apparate, or even fly, and besides, he wanted to have a normal trip after all these years. So he chose to go there by airplane.

After many preparations the big day came. Harry lifted his heavy old truck- he haven't yet bought a Muggle one- and got out of Sirius Black's house, where he was living since the end of the wizarding war. He looked both sides and when he was sure that none was looking he apparated but in the last moment he changed route to the Dursleys' house. Harry took a deep breath and knocked the door.
"Why am I doing this? The Dursleys don't even like me and they'll be angry after I told them to leave their house. But their also the only family ( by blood that I have) and they forgave before they left. Or didn't they?

A loud voice pulled him out of his thoughts: " I GOT IT!"
It was Dudley's voice.

The noise of Dudley's heavy steps was getting louder and louder until the door opened and a chubby face with dark and like leeks hair appeared in front of Harry. Some moments of silence followed.
"Harry?" Dudley spoke with a trempling raucous voice.
"What? Harry?" The voices of Mr and Ms Dursley were heard from somewhere inside the house.
After a few seconds, they appeared as well at the doorstep in front of Harry.

"What...what are you doing here?" Mr Dursley asked after pausing for a couple of seconds.

"The war is over. The danger's past. You're safe now. Thought you should know." Harry said, and looked down at the ground biting his lip and waiting for their reaction.

A smile was drawn on each sf the Dursleys' faces. Mr and Ms Dursley looked at each other for a few seconds with a peaceful sparkle on their eyes. Dudley didn't take his eyes of Harry. He just leaned his head trying to look at Harry's shadowy face.

"Also..." Harry continued "I'm going away for a while".
The Dursleys looked at each other again with puzzled faces, waiting for somebody else to ask Harry for details. Eventually Ms Dursley spoke:
"You're...going away? To where?"
"New York. My flight leaves in two hours so I better get to the airport. I just thought that I should let you know. After all, we're still familly. Right?"
Ms Dursley couldn't stop a couple of tears falling from her eyes. Maybe it was that Harry delayed so they could go back to their home, maybe because she remembered for once that she had good times with her sister before the whole her sister being a witch thing, or maybe because deep down her heart somethink broke when she saw that Harry was being so nice to them after everything that they have done and said to him all these years. She dried her eyes and said: "Right".

Harry nodded and made some steps backwards. He looked both sides and then back at the door where only Dudley was left standing. Harry looked once again for any muggle watching and was ready to apparate to the airport but Dudley's voice stopped him once again.
"Hey man..." he said " I'm sorry 'bout...well everything. I've told you again. "

"It's okay. Really." Harry responded avoiding to look Dudley directly and waved goodbye before vanishing into thin air.

Dudley stared a bit more at the spot where Harry stood before, than looked at his shoes and whispered:

"I was, am and will be jealous of what you are."

Then, he closed the door.
