"C'mon, Cass!" Teddy called as he was standing in the doorway.
"You can't miss the Hogwarts Express! Then what would you do?" added Victoire.
"I'm coming!" Cassidy said, running down the house stairs. She was dragging her huge trunk behind her, or as it was, it was pushing her down the stairs.
"Come on, you can't dilly dally!" Teddy said.
Victoire gave him a puzzled look. "Dilly dally?"
"Oh shush, my grandmother used to say that to me. Shoot me," he said, laughing.
"While you two were chatting," Cassidy said, standing outside, "I dragged my trunk out here. Come on! Now it's my turn to say hurry up!"
As Teddy and Victoire were walking out the door, Victoire asked, "What were you doing up there, anyway? I thought you were fully packed last night?"
"I was, but I started reading one of my textbooks yesterday at The Leaky Cauldron, and wanted to finish reading it," Cassidy said merrily.
"You sound like your great-aunt Hermione," Victoire murmured with a small laugh.******
Teddy, Vicotire, and Cassidy arrived at King's Cross half an hour early, from taking the Underground. Victoire has set Teddy's watch and the house clocks an hour early, because Teddy was far from punctual and Cassidy had the normal tendency to get her head stuck in a book.
"I can't believe you didn't trust us!" Teddy exclaimed, flabbergasted.
"Can you blame her, though?" Cassidy replied.
"I did get you here on time," Victoire said, "so there's no worry."While Teddy was changing his watch time back to normal, he said, "We're meeting the Fawleys here, so maybe you and Maxwell can sit together on the train."
"Cool," said Cassidy, absentmindedly staring at the post between platforms nine and ten.
"Do you not like Maxwell?" Victoire asked.
"No, no, it's not that, I'm just wondering—"
"How to get to the platform?" Teddy interjected.
"Yeah."
Just then, the Fawleys came up.
"Gerroff me, Adam!" Maxwell said, trying to push his brother off. "Hey Cassidy. My little devil-of-brother won't let go, as you can see. He's giving me a python-strength hug!"
"Aww, I think it's cute!" chortled Cassidy.
"He's only cute and nice in public. At home, he's a nightmare."
"Cassidy, Maxwell, Adam, come over here! Push your trolleys over here," said Mr. Fawley, a tall man with the same dark hair as his sons'.
"Coming!" said Maxwell, finally prying Adam off."Now, I'll go through with Cassidy, and Teddy, you come after us," said Victoire.
"Okay," mumbled Cassidy, a little on the apprehensive side.
"One, two, three!"
Cassidy closed her eyes, hoping not to hit the wall, and magically, (quite literally I might add,) they were through onto platform Nine and Three Quarters.Cassidy wanted to stay and look, but Victoire pulled her out of the way right as Teddy was coming through, and right behind him, the Fawleys.
Teddy checked his watch.
"You have ten minutes, I would suggest getting on the train now, because you want to be able to choose your compartment."
"Okay!" Cassidy started off to the train, but was stopped by Teddy.
"Ma'am, you can't just go without saying goodbye to your parents!"
"Oops!" said Cassidy, blushing furiously. Teddy and Victoire brought her in for a group hug. She came out of the hug, turned, said goodbye to her dad and tear-faced mum, and climbed onto the Hogwarts Express with Maxwell.
