I lay in my bed, thinking about all that had happened in one day. I had fallen in love with a boy, and he appeared to like me back. Just thinking about him made me smile. I looked up at my ceiling, smiling one last time, before I close my eyes and fall asleep.

I open my eyes and sit up, feeling the warm sand between my fingers and my toes in the surf. I look around for any other people on the beach, and see no one. I stand up. This beach is strangely familiar. I look up behind me, and see a tidal wave, approaching fast. Somehow, this doesn't faze me. As the water crashes over me, I find myself in a state of calm. I open my eyes, and float. moments later, I see a boy's face. He looks... familiar, but I can't quite make out who it is. As he draws closer, i somehow know exactly who it is: Justin. As hard as I try, i can never get a clear view of his face. I cry out to him, and he sharply turns to face me. Instantly, i feel the weight of the water, and i am no longer floating peacefully. I am thrashed by the oceans cruel waves, water getting into my mouth and eyes. I am moments away from drowning...

I gasp and throw the blankets off of myself. I looked around. No water, no beach, no Justin.
I closed my eyes and breathed, still shaken from the eerie nightmare. A few moments later, after i had regained composure, I got up and out of bed. I text Justin, letting him know i would be coming over to his house.

Mrs H opens the door, and with much grandeur. "Justin! Your... um... friend... Is here!" She called up the stairs. Justin came down the stairs, smiling wide. "Hey, what's up?" He asked. "I need to talk to you." I said, leading him out of the house.

"What happened?"

"Just follow me."

"I heard you know how to... decipher...dreams." I said once we got to the orchard. "Well, yeah. Most people think that's pretty weird, though..." He said, scratching his neck. I took a deep breath, and explained my dream.

"Wow," he said, eyes wide. "That's pretty deep." "Do you know what it means?" I asked, hopeful. "Well, if I am correct, it could, vaguely mean... everything is not as it seems." He said, apparently uncomfortable. "But, uh, you know, not all dreams mean anything. So don't worry about it." He said, taking my hands.

"Come on," I say, standing up, still holding onto his hand.

"Let's go."
