"Lynn, wake up. Lynn!"

I awake, startled. Was I dreaming? My eyes flutter open and I see light prevailing from a lantern and a silhouette.

I sit up and run my fingers through my hair. The person starts to speak again once I challenge myself to detangle my hair.

"Lynn I brought you a sandwich."

I continuously sit there wide-eyed wondering to myself Who is this and what do they want with me?

"Lynn, speak to me." Silence. "Why did I think this would work. Hun you're absolutely clueless." They laugh a little.

I've heard their voice before. But... where?

"Do you even remember what happened? ...Of course you don't. Why did I think I could save the day?"

All of a sudden I hear a far off voice calling.

"Lynn, I must go now. You do know that their is a light switch right over here. Okay? I'll turn it on as I leave. Just a little while longer until you can go home."

Its a boy, he has a voice that makes me feel comforted. He turns to leave taking the oil lamp with him. As he reaches the door, he opens it and turns to flick the switch on. Just before he stars escalates the stairway, I speak to him.

"Wait!" He looks to me but still I can't make out his face. I can feel the curiosity and surprise from him. I ask of his name.

He mumbles "In time you'll know, but not now. Just know, I'm good and I know Brandon very well."

I manage a small hushed Thank you. Before I'm left alone.
