Him

His features were absolutely stunning. The way his chocolate colored eyes twinkled at me before he left. The dimples from his blazing white smile drove me insane. It was all so surreal, I was speechless.

I remember Brandon mentioning him to me. But what was his name?

Come on, Lynn. His name...what was his name?

"Oh hey Brandon who's that?"
"Lynn, thats Daniel."

That's his name, Daniel. After he left I only had on thought on my mind. "Why didn't he want me to know anything about him?"

Every Sunday at 1:00 me and Brandon meet at this little library. Its an older style of place so no one but us come here anymore. I got there early as usual, found the current book I was reading, Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children by Randsom Riggs, and unpacked my bottle of iced tea.

Brandon walked in right on time and sat down next to me. He flashed me one of his famous smiles before saying "Its nice to see you Lynn."

Before I could respond I heard the bell from the door jingle. I didn't think much of it, but apparently Brandon did.

Calling his name, I froze where I was and my jaw dropped.

"Hey, over here Adam!"

He smiled and nodded. I jumped out of my seat and made my over to a book shelf, any shelf.

Finally finding myself in the Non-Fiction section, I could clearly see the boys from through the shelves.

I saw their mouthes moving so I moved to a different shelf to hear them. I ended up in the Young Adult section.

"Brandon, where was she?" It was Adam. I remember I dreamt about Adam the first night in the basement.

"Dude, I don't know. I already told you all I know. She was at the party all fine and next thing I knew she was leaving with...with...ah whats his name? Daniel. Yeah new guy Daniel."

"But you know I feel about..." At that moment I didn't want to hear anymore or remember it. I walked over to the table with a new book and quietly greeted Adam.

"Hey Lynn, I got to go. I'll call you later.." He gestured towards Brandon. "See you tomorrow." The last remark was aimed toward me. I felt me cheeks become warm.

As he left I waited for the bell to ring, when it did I turned to watch him leave. That's when I saw him standing in the window. It was him. Daniel.
