I hugged him as tightly as I could without hurting him. He was thin and lanky but I could feel the definition of muscle in his arms.
I let go only a little bit and said Thank You again. I plopped down and cried. It wasn't a sad cry, it was a cry of happiness. He sat down and pulled me into a comforting embrace.
"Lynn, its alright. I've got you, everything is going to be fine."
I nodded my head and he said he had to go. He'd be back later though.
He left me with a blanket to which I curled up in and used my arm as a makeshift pillow.
I sleep for what seems like days. I slept with the lingering feeling of his arms around me and his sweet scent of warm chocolate chip cookies.
I smile for the first time since yesterday.
