SQUEAAAK! She heard it again! She would turn her head, but when her head tilted to her left, she still only saw darkness. Nothing else, just darkness.
Lalita's hands felt almost crusty but liquidy. Her fingers glided across some object, it wasn't moving. All of the sudden, Lalita felt someone tug her heart non stop. She didn't know why, she didn't even know what she did. Her instincts know what she had done wasn't bright.
"Lalita! How dare you?" shouted Miny. Lalita had no idea what she had done, or what this feeling inside of her was.
"Miny? I don't understand. What did I do wrong?" Lalita asked with guilt in her voice. She felt a giant lump in her throat and her eyes starting to water.
"Lalita! You just killed a rat with your bare hands! You should never kill an innocent creature!" scolded Miny.
Lalita felt bits of liquid stream from her eyes down her cheeks. She lifted her hands and started rubbing her eyes with her fists, just how a child would.
Miny wanted to calm her down, however she is forbidden to baby her. Her heart felt a little tug. Go help her! She is crying Do something! Her instincts told her.
No! You are forbidden! She will just cry it out anyways! thought Miny.
She than decided to leave her alone, there is nothing she can do.
Lalita never had such a feeling. She felt guilty, and misundertood. What if she didn't kill the creature? But what does kill even mean?
Lalita sobbed and sobbed, not getting anyones' attention.
She fell right on her right shoulder, feeling the cold floor touch her flesh. She stopped her useless sobbing and heard sounds of unfamiliar people. She froze as if she was inside an ice berg to listen closely.
"Miny, there is a bomb here, I will press this button and capture the girl or turn her in. The choice is yours," calmly stated an unfamiliar voice.
Lalita had no idea what this mysterious being was trying to say. What girl? Was she the girl? Lalita stopped her thinking and kept on listening.
"No! I am not turning her in to the likes of you! If you spare her, than I will give you anything!" she heard Miny shout with anger and fear.
Lalita admittedly jumped up from her fright of an explosion. She felt arms wrap around her waist and her feet floated off the ground.
She would scream, she would run, she would try to get of her position, but she couldn't. She didn't even know what was going on.
Negativity spread threw her mind and made her feel only weakness.
