harry hasn't talked to niall for about a week now. he's been avoiding him at school and ignoring him when he comes over to his house. he doesn't pay attention to his family. he just stays in his room.

he's been having trouble at school. a few kids here and there have been teasing him. he tries to ignore it. he doesn't want to give them the satisfaction nor the time of day.

he's currently sitting in english class. he's trying really hard to pay attention, but it's pretty hard when someone as cute as louis is sitting next to you.

they've been hanging out somewhat. they talk during their english lesson and sometimes greet each other at lunch. it's comforting, knowing someone else other than the teachers care.

he can hear the steady breathing coming from louis. he can smell peppermint in the air with a mix of honey that now has suddenly become his favorite scent.

he can feel the heat radiating off of louis. it feels like a warm hug every time louis shifts in his seat. he smiles to himself whenever louis accidentally nudges him with his elbow.

when louis laughs is when harry knows that this boy is most likely an angel. his laugh is very soft, almost squeaky and innocent in a way. his eyes crinkle and his cheeks become squished with joy and his pearly white teeth show and it's just something everybody deserves to look at.

he feels louis nudge him. he turns to him and sees louis sliding a piece of crumbled paper next to him. he smiles lightly and hesitantly grabs it. he opens it up quietly.

meet me at the library after school at three :)

harry smiles and nods over at louis, where the smaller boy nods his head and sends a grin.

---

it's three o' clock. harry is standing awkwardly against the bookshelf with his mess of curls blocking his eyesight. his hands are shaking slightly and he really doesn't like the attention he's getting from students.

he turned his head when the door to the library opened. louis walked in shyly and went over to where harry was standing alone.

"hi harry. you look nice." he complimented. "your curls are quite cute."

harry felt his cheeks heat up. "t-thank you." he squeaked. "people aren't very nice but you're different because you're nice."

louis smiled. "i try to be as nice as i can." louis grabbed harry's hand, "why don't you follow me? i wanted to show you something."

louis led harry to the back of the library. there was a long hallway that stopped at a door. louis grabbed something, most likely a key, under the grey mat in front of their feet and unlocked the mysterious door.

when they entered, harry gasped. there was a small bed against the wall with mint green bedding. there was light pale yellow wallpaper coated on the walls that complimented the caramel color rug. the room had a lot of posters and a shelf full of books, along with a small beanbag seat.

"i come here a lot. it's kind of like my place, you know? the librarian, ms. shelly, she lets me come here whenever i want." louis explained and shut the door before walking over towards his desk. "do you like it?"

"pretty." harry breathed out when he saw the many disney books in the shelf. "very pretty. princess is pretty and i like pretty."

louis giggled. "you want me to read it to you?"

harry suddenly frowned. he felt a rush of annoyance run through his veins and he rolled his eyes and huffed out a puff of air.

"i can read. i read good. good, i read very good." harry explained bitterly.
