Chapter Ten

"What do we do?" Spencer's head snapped to the left side of the car.

Spencer opened and closed her mouth not able to form the right words. She turned her head back to the road not knowing what to do either.

"I-I don't know." she stuttered.

Santana let out a big sigh. "I say we don't say anything."

Spencer took a glance at the Latina. "You're going to lie to your cousin."

"Well yeah. Thats the only way I see it, unless you got a better idea." Santana snapped in irritation.

"Since this whole A thing has started all we do now is lie. And quite frankly i'm so tired of lying because in the end someone always gets hurt." Spencer confessed softly.

Santana glance over to the other girl from the passenger side. She noticed the girl had a far look in her eyes as if she's re living everything leading up to this point. "But sometimes the truth sucks ass."

"True. But I just want for once in my life since this whole thing started for it to vanish. I want to finish my high school life in peace. Instead i'm turning in the NCIS agent who's always searching for clues."

"NCIS?"

"That's not the point. I'm saying I just want to be a normal 17 year old."

"Fair enough cause I agree with you there."

For the rest of the ride neither girl spoke again deciding the silence was better. Coming to their destination Spencer turned the car engine off.

"Well this is it. Are you sure your fine walking from here?" Spencer asked.

Santana nodded. "Yes its not big deal." She opened the car door to exit but stopped halfway. "Can you not tell anyone what happened tonight?"

"I can do that." Santana let out a breath hearing those words.

"Thank you." she whispered.

Spencer let out a small smile watching the latina walk away from the car disappearing into the darkness.

Tonight was crazy and she needed long night sleep to get away from reality for once. So that's what she did. She went straight to her room, stripped her clothes and crawled in bed letting the dreams to over her unconscious.

"I had fun tonight."

Quinn let out a smile hearing those words. "Me to."

Daniel wrapped his arms around the blondes shoulder to bring her closer to him. "I mean it when I said it Q, I missed you."

"Then why did you leave the way you did?" Quinn pulled away from him.

"I really don't know, but the minute I left I felt shame because I left you to be hurt." He placed his hands on both of her cheeks forcing her to have eye contact. "I love you Quinn, believe me when I say it because I mean it. If I could I would shout it out the world letting them know your mines."

Quinn was silent after hearing her ex-boyfriend pour his heart to her. Don't get her wrong she was glad he's back but it seems like she moved on. To whom she didn't know but she does know she doesn't want to get back together with Daniel. The only reason she agreed to go out with tonight was so she tell him to move on.

"Daniel.." she whispered not knowing how to break the retaliation.

"Sh." he placed his finger on her lips to silence her. "You don't have to say anything."
