Jane's POV

"You are the best." I said to Jason who brings me a big bowl of soup as I laid in bed with a cold. My nose was so stuffed I began breathing through my mouth. I sound like I was breathing through one of those face mask like those men had in Star Wars. To add to my current situation I was currently fighting with the temperature in the room. If I had my covers on I was hot and if I take it off I feel uncomfortable and cold, so after fighting with it I just turned the air conditioning on and called it a day. So here I was coughing and sneezing a storm while I felt too sluggish and lazy to move. "It smells wonderful thank you for making it."

"Don't thank me. I just bought it and put it in a bowl to make it look home made cause it cheers sick people when the get home cooked soup. We all know I can't cook to save my life." He replied sitting next to me on the bed.

"It's the thought that counts." I mumbled sipping the hot liquid from the spoon. "Where did Daren run off to?"

Jason shrugged his shoulder as he grabbed the remote to the tv flipping through channels till he found something interesting to watch. He decided that watching pre recorded movies I had on my cable box seeing there was nothing good on tv. We both agreed that the avengers would keep our attention long enough till Daren comes home.

"So how has your  hand been doing?" I asked as I finish the last of the soup, which Jason was so kind enough to refill.

He was currently seated on Daren's side of the bed. He then looks down at his arm that was still casted in its sling. "It has seen better days." He joked gently rubbing his arm.

"Do you think I should call him?" I asked. Not knowing where he was kinda irked me, what kind of wife wouldn't worry about her husband when he doesn't tell her where he's going on his day off.

"Knowing you, your going to call him either way, so why ask?"

"Because I wanted to see if you think it's a bad idea." I hate being in the dark. I have to know because so many things have happened to me because I didn't know anything. Like when I was six and I didn't know that you couldn't give fish pizza and all my fish died, or how I didn't know that jaywalking was illegal (because who doesn't jaywalk), or when I was 12 and didn't know that I could possibly die from leaving the stove gas on. Lets just say I was a clueless child growing up. "So can you call him?"

"Why me?"

"Because I will sound like a stalker if I called." I sniffled a sneeze. "Please, for me?" I did my best to smile but I honestly felt like shit. Jason took out his phone and dialed his brothers number after letting out a long sigh. He places the phone on speaker and waits for Daren to answer.

After eight long rings he hung up the phone. He must be busy. "He'll call back later ok." Jason said and he began his way out the room. I nodded my head and finished my soup and after two hours of sitting in my bed reading Fifty Shades of Gray I got bored and tired of the constant confusion between Anastasia and Christian and decided that I had enough of being in bed. I made my way to the bathroom and gave myself a much needed warm shower.

I got undressed letting the clothes fall to the floor and turn the water on. I looked at myself in the mirror and was surprised at how I looked. I had bags under my eyes and all around my nose was red, and I looked paler than usual. My body was sore and my nose was so stuffy. I dragged myself to the bath tub and let the water relax my sore muscles and the slight steam mad it a little easier to breath.

I soaped my skin and rinsed myself off a final time before stepping out. I grabbed my big fluffy towel wrapping it around my body and used a smaller one to dry my hair. Picking my discarded clothes off the bathroom floor I walked to my bedroom. The cold air hit me as I realized that the air conditioning was still on. Throwing the dirty clothes in the hamper, I looked at the time to find it was already 6:00pm and the sun was fading.
