Into the maze

(Minho)

'Minho' a voice called out in my dream. It sounded familiar and I realised it was that girl.

'It's you again' I whispered back and this time I saw her eyes only. That's all I could see. She had dark brown eyes but they shone brightly.

'Minho I don't know how long until they will suspect me. You need to get out of there now before it's too late' she pleaded.

'I don't understand what I need to do. I don't even know you, did we know each other before I came in here?'

'I,' she stared down sadly before looking back to me. 'We did but that was before they found out what you were doing and took you into the maze, I tried to stop them. I'm so sorry Minho' she whispered sweetly.

Before I could ask any more questions I was shaken awake. I realised it was Taemin who giggled quietly and pulled me onto my feet. "Come," he spoke quietly and walked towards the maze doors. Following him across the green grass we ended up at a wall that showed many names carved into it. There were plenty of names and some even had been crossed out.

My eyes trailed to the name 'Namjoon' that was crossed on the wall. The crossed names must be the ones that aren't around anymore I thought to myself sadly. It was written in a heart with Jin underneath it but now one of the names were crossed out which was heartbreaking.

I walked close to the wall, Taemin handed me a dagger and I began writing my name onto the wall.

(Timeskip)

"Okay so you will be situated one day per job to see what suits you best. Once we know that then you will be placed in that job," Taemin started as we walked through the glade. "Okay so they are the builders, then those are the med jacks and then those are the slicers," he pointed to each one showing me. Why didn't he mention anything about runners? Was that not an option?

"What about runners?" he stopped and turned to me.

"You just can't be a runner. You need to be chosen to be and you only have been here one day so you won't be chosen anytime soon."

"What if I am bad at all three? What if I can prove that I can be a runner?" I insisted and he placed one hand on his hip while brushing his other hand in his hair sort of bothered. "Come on I wouldn't be chosen if all I do is cook or build things now can I."

He glances up to me and sighed. "You have a point... I have to talk with Onew about that though. He needs to know before I can agree."

"Thanks Tae," I smiled and his eyes widen a bit I could even see a light pink start to paint his cheeks.

"Did you just call me Tae?" he asked probably making sure his mind was playing tricks on him. I immediately thought he was going to be upset for me calling him that.

"I'm sorry I did. If you don't like it then I can chan-"

"No its fine. I... like it," he smiled. "No one has called me by a nickname before so... you can call me that." He sure was adorable I must say but that's it... I think.

(Timeskip)

"Have you tried climbing up the wall?" I wondered as I plucked some fruits from the vines. Taemin arches his back and stretches before glancing to me.

"Tried that and the ivy doesn't even go all the way to the top and even if you did make it up there, where would you go?" he answers.

"Hm then what about staying in the box?"

"Tried that. It won't go down with someone in it."

"So there is nothing?"

"Sadly no but that's why we have the runners try to find a way out. They are trying their hardest and it isn't easy out there. Look be useful and get some more fertiliser instead of chit chat alright," he threw me a basket and I sighed nodding before walking into the woods.

Sheesh, here I am finding fertiliser in the woods. How very entertaining I thought bored. There were many birds in the trees and it was nice when they tweeted singing.

'Minho'

'Oh it's you again'

'Yes but not for long but I need to warn you. You need to get out of those woods now. The company here had one of the gladers stung and he is dangerous. Get out of there now!'

'Wait who are you talking about?' before she answers I turned around after hearing a grunting sound and I turn to see... wait that's Yunho. He was with Yoongi yesterday in the maze.

"Hey uh Yunho right? It's nice to meet you," I extended my hand out to him. He continues to grunt and now he begins to slobber. What the hell is wrong with him? "Are you alright? Want me to get Onew or someone to get you checked out?"

Before I know it, he runs at me in full speed and tackles me to the ground. "I saw you you traitor!" he roared as he tried to choke me but I quickly punched him across the head and began to run. I kept running and running the fastest as I could.

Out of the woods I kept screaming for help. "Help!" I yelled running for my life. I looked behind me to see Yunho gaining up on me. Others tried to grab him but he slipped past their arms. Closing my eyes I took a deep breath and ran even faster using all my energy into my legs.

I was much faster than before and looked behind again to see Yunho far behind me. I must be faster in running then he was which I am glad for. But being glad wasn't enough as I finally was at the entrance to the maze. Looking behind once more I saw Yunho still running towards me.

Taemin was running behind Yunho and looked up to me. He shook his head making me bite my lip. I had no other place to run I had to run away or else I would be killed. Looking back to Taemin I mouthed a 'I'm sorry' to him before sprinting off deep into the maze.

Wow Minho there you go breaking one rule already you rebel!!!
