Chapter Fifteen:

"8:13 a.m."

"(F/N)."

Levi's ( uncharacteristically ) gentle, silky voice immediately woke you from your slumber. You let out a whine of protest, curling up to his chest in defiance. He smiled at your refusal to listen to him, when on normal circumstances, he would have raised his voice to a yell; but he wasn't going to yell at you, he was tired too.

He found himself staring at your half-asleep form before he sighed and glanced at the clock that neatly hung on the wall—8:13 a.m. He let out another sigh, not wanting to waste any more time lounging on the bed. Even if you were there.

"We still have things we need to attend to, (F/N)," Levi reminded you, "the new batch of Cadets are still dipshits. Especially that brat; what was his name? Jaeger? Yeah—him."

"You get out of bed," you suggested, grabbing Levi's portion of the sheets and pulling it off of him. You covered yourself in the sheets, snuggling into the oh-so comfortable warmth; "I, on the other hand, am staying here."

"I'm not leaving you alone in my room," he responded, "when I get back, it's gonna look as if a fucking hurricane had hit."

"I'm untidy, yes," you admitted, "but not that untidy."

The sound of sheets ruffling had informed you that Levi had already crawled out of bed, while you lied there, bundled up in the clean, pleasant-smelling sheets that Levi would have to re-arrange later that night. Following his action, you slowly sat up, allowing your eyes to adjust to the morning light that was shining through the window.

You rubbed the sleep out of your eyes, yawning afterwards before you finally hopped off the bed. Your bare feet touched the wooden floor, quickly turning to the direction of the doorway when you heard a quick knock. There, Levi stood, already dressed in his uniform, with the exception of the 3DMG straps; his body was supported by the doorframe, his arms crossed as he looked you over.

"Hurry up and change," he ordered, "or else you won't get to have anything for breakfast."

You nodded in response, changing into your uniform, when you were done, Levi was patiently waiting for you outside of his room. The Corporal beckoned you over, and the two of you walked towards the dining hall. Upon Levi's arrival, the dining room had suddenly fell silent as all eyes were on the two of you. Levi paid no mind, effortlessly walking towards his usual table, his hips slightly swaying to the side as he did so.

Once he took his seat, murmurs and whispers echoed throughout the dining hall, but nothing too loud that would catch Levi's attention. Levi took a short sip of his tea, before you felt one of his warm hands firmly grasp yours under the cover of the wooden table. You gave him a sweet smile, then you proceeded to eat.

"(F/N)?" Eren had called out warily, you immediately turned to the brunette, offering him a warm smile, "Um—Corporal Levi asked for you. He said he wanted to see you in his office."

"Hah?" Jean's ( obnoxiously ) loud voice questioned as he, rather discourteously, rested his chin on his fist, "The Corporal's asking for (F/N) again?"

"Stop sticking your horse nose into other people's business," Eren quickly snapped, his anger visible through his words, "stick it in the hay that you eat."

"Well.." Armin began before pausing, as if to question the validity of his answer, "they both are high-ranking officials. Maybe they have something they need to discuss..?"

Completely ignoring Armin, Eren and Jean began bickering, and it had nearly become a physical fight, had Mikasa not seperated the two hot-headed males. You laughed at them before quickly rising to your feet and excusing yourself.

The sound generated by your boots as you calmly walked towards Levi's office seemed completely foreign to the otherwise empty and silent hallways. You began thinking as to what Levi wanted to talk to you about—maybe Armin was right, maybe Levi did want to discuss some important matters with you.

You pushed all your thoughts to the back of your mind when the door that led to Levi's office ( and room ) was in sight. You swallowed your fears, reassuring yourself that you hadn't done anything wrong, and so, you knocked. Twice.

You let your hands fall back to your side as you waited for Levi to answer, not wanting to stand in the empty hallway any longer than needed. A few seconds after, Levi had finally answered, and the answer you had gotten was:

"Name and business."

You took a deep breath, calming your nerves slightly, before you spoke; trying to sound as smooth and calm as possible, as opposed to the nervousness you truly felt, "(F/N) (L/N), I wa-"

"Get in."

Shocked at Levi's abruptness, your fingertips grazed the surface of the doorknob, hesitating for a bit, before you quickly turned the doorknob, hearing the door creak as it opened. You entered his room, and the silent atmosphere enveloping the hallway outside seemed to have leaked into Levi's office as well. He looked up from the thin sheet of paper in his hand, his cold, striking eyes meeting yours.

"Come here," he ordered.

You nodded obediently as you walked towards his desk, it was never a good idea to disobey Levi, even more-so to completely defy him. He was quick to anger and he was very—expressive when it comes to showing his anger to other individuals.

"In front of me," he quickly corrected himself, and, once again, you did as he was told. You stood in front of the Corporal, mustering as much courage as you were able as you looked directly into Levi's eyes.

Levi suddenly grabbed your wrist, your entire body being pulled towards with just a firm tug from his strong hand. He pulled you down, making it so that you were resting on his lap, more specifically, straddling his petite figure. He wrapped his arms around your waist, removing the gap between both of your bodies with a gentle yet passionate kiss.

You immediately closed your eyes, hurrying to kiss him back. You wrapped your arms around his neck, moving your lips so that they were in perfect sync with Levi's. Soon, your lungs were deprived of the oxygen they desperately needed, and you found yourself pulling away.

You rested your head against Levi's chest, regaining your breath, your cheeks colored bright red as your tried to hide yourself in the comfort of Levi's chest. You felt Levi's fingers run through your [h/c] as, he too, was trying to regain himself. It was cute that you were able to get the usually composed Captain this worked up with just a little kiss.

"Stay the night with me?" Levi uttered through his soft pants.

"Of course."
