Chapter Ten:
"Serenity."

You awoke to the sound of somebody knocking --or rather, banging-- on the door to your bedroom. You sat up and rubbed your eyes tiredly as you glared at the door --and whoever was behind it, for that matter--, letting out a small grunt before yawning.
"(F/N)?" a voice spoke.
You immediately recognized that voice, as it belonged to Eren, "Yeah? What is it, Eren?"
"Corporal Levi wants to see you in his office," Eren said.
You nodded, but then you remembered Eren couldn't see you because he was behind your door, "Tell him that I'll see him in fifteen minutes."
"Okay."

After changing into your uniform, you still had two minutes left to spare so you spent a full minute trying to look presentable in front of Levi. After all, knowing him he was probably going to say you looked like shit without a second thought.
When you were done, you ran towards his office, passing by several Cadets who were going about their own business, since it was a few minutes before we all started to get to work doing this and that. You finally arrived at the Corporal's office door and knocked after a second of hesitating.
You knocked twice, for good measure. "Name and business."
"(F/N) (L/N), Sir. Eren said that you wanted to see me...?" you answered, trying your best not to make the last part sound like a question but failing miserably.
"Come in, then."
You opened the door and walked into his office before you quietly shut the door behind you, Levi sat on his desk, his legs crossed. He looked up at you and stared at you for a few moments before he decided to speak.
"It's your turn to clean the stables, (L/N)," Levi said casually.
You raised your eyebrow, "I thought it was Kirstein's turn today."
He clicked his tongue, "Like I said before, the new Cadets don't know shit, especially when it comes to cleaning. The damn stables are probably gonna end up even filthier than before it started."
You knew you had no way of wriggling yourself out of this mess, since it was cleaning and since this was Levi you were dealing with. If it were somebody else, you could've found a loophole and end up doing nothing, but this was Levi, you had to do it, or else you'd face the consequences.
"Alright."

After cleaning the horse stables four times over, and then another two times just to make sure Levi wasn't going to make you spend the night cleaning the stables --like you did with the dining hall--, you went to your own horse's stable and gently petted his/her mane. Your horse looked really happy to see you again.
You smiled, "C'mon. Let's go for a ride."
You led your horse out of his/her stable and mounted him/her before you began slowly walking to a meadow not too far from HQ. When you had arrived, you stopped and tied up your horse to a nearby tree before you slowly rested your bum on the grass.
You sighed deeply, hearing your horse snort before you rolled your eyes and rested your hands on the grass, noticing that it was slightly moist. It was nice and peaceful for a good four minutes until--
"What the fuck are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to clean the stables."
You jumped a bit and turned around to face a very annoyed-looking Corporal Levi. You quickly got to your feet, staring at him. "Sir, why are you here?"
