Ellington's POV:
"Ellingtonnnn." Rydel whines from beside me as we walk hand in hand through the mall.
"Ellingtonnn, can we just go? I'm sooo bored!" She rests her head on my shoulder and pouts her lip, staring up at me with pleading eyes.
"Absolutely not," I chuckle at her reaction, "your mom said that you needed new clothes, so we will stay here until we've spent all of the money she gave you."

"But I HATE shopping." She huffs. It's true. My girlfriend is probably the only girl on the planet who hates all forms of shopping. But that's what makes her Rydel. And I love her for it.
"I know you do Delly, but you love me.." I wink at her making her roll her eyes.
"That's not the point Ell.."
"Why of course it is! Think of this as a date. Maybe it'll be fun?"
She smiles at me and I drag her into a clothing store.

We browse the racks for a while, me occasionally handing her a piece of clothing. The heap in her arms gradually grows bigger, so I take the outfits from her and continue looking. "Thanks Ell." She says, kissing my cheek.
"No worries, I didn't want you to carry them all."
"No not that. Thankyou for bringing me here. I know I'm a pain to shop with, so thankyou."
"Rydel your always a pain. I'm used to it." I tease and she punches my arm softly.
After a few more minutes of browsing, we can't find anything else, so Rydel heads towards the cash register.
"Woah woah woah!" I grab her wrist and pull her back. "You need to try these on." I say gesturing towards the mountain of clothes in my arms. She groans and I have to drag her into a change room, locking the door behind us.

I ceremoniously dump the clothes onto a small table in one corner of the small room, and take a seat on a chair in the opposite corner.
"Really?" She sulks, and I nod extra enthusiastically.
She huffs, stripping down to her bra and underwear and picks up a random t-shirt and denim shorts.
"They fit." She states stubbornly once she has them on.
"So put on the next thing." I laugh, earning the clothes she just tried on, being thrown at my face. As she tries on the next two things, a crop top and skirt, I put the shirt and shorts back on their hangers. This becomes a system, she hands me the clothes and I hang them on a hook on the wall. Eventually, the pile on the table shrinks. I watch my girlfriend step into the last item; a red dress that hugs her curves and reaches her mid-thigh. She reaches her arms behind her, sticking out her tongue slightly, as she attempts to zip it up. I stand up behind her, and move her hair out of the way, sliding the zip up with ease. I wrap my arms around her from behind still, and place my chin on her head as we both stare at our reflection.
"Do you like this one? Is it too tight? Should I get a longer one? Do you think it's.."
"You look stunning." I whisper into her ear, before planting a tender kiss on her neck. She lets out a sigh, placing a hand on my cheek. I spin her around to face me and I gently push her against the wall of the change room, leaning my nose against hers.
"You are so beautiful." I murmur, pressing my lips firmly against hers. I place my hand on the small of her back and deepen the kiss. But we are interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Is everything alright in there? Could I be of any assistance?"
We pull away and Rydel calls back, "No, everything is wonderful thanks. I'm just trying on a couple more things."
The shop attendant leaves and we make eye contact simultaneously bursting into laugher.
I press one final kiss to her nose, unzipping her dress. She gets changed into her normal clothes and I gather up all of the new outfits. I take her hand and we head to the counter to pay for it all. Taking the three large bags, I thank the shop attendant as we walk out of the store, still laughing.

We reach the food court and find a table away from everyone else to sit at. "Can we spend the rest of mom's money on sushi?" Rydels pleads.
"Haha sure thing Dell." I laugh. She walks over to the sushi place, while I stay and look after her bags. She returns a few minutes later with a large plate of sushi rolls for us to share. I grin at her as she sits down opposite me. As we eat, my left hand finds hers underneath the table and I entwine our fingers gently.
"Thanks again for coming Ell." She says.
"Seriously Delly, I don't mind. Anytime I get to spend the day alone with you is good."
"Yeah I know."
We both fall silent. I know that we are thinking the same thing. As a couple, we don't get too much alone time. Between writing, recording and touring there is hardly any free time anyway. Plus when we get time to just relax, it's usually spent with the company of our families. Not that we mind. We love our families. It's just, we don't get time for dates and things like that.
