Ellington's POV:
"How about we take a break for lunch?" Riker asks the three of us, who are scattered around the garage. Riker, Rocky, Ross and I are currently working on our new album, Sometime Last Night. We've been writing and recording flat out, for days now, so that we are able to put together an entire new album for our producers by next month. It's pretty exhausting work, I must say, but I'm glad that I get to do it with my best friends.

"Lunch sounds great!" Ross sighs, running his hands through his messy hair.
Rocky lifts his chin from where it is resting on the neck of his guitar, his eyes trained on his phone.
"Rydel just texted, she's on her way back now."
"Well I'll go upstairs and start to make some lunch for us all." I say, standing up from my place on the sofa.
"You sure about that bro? Or are you just gonna leap at Rydel the minute she walks through the door, and claim her." Rocky teases, and I roll my eyes at him.
"Yeah Rock. I'm just gonna go fuck her while I make your sandwich." I retort.
"Woah dude, that's my sister you're talkin' bout." Riker says, tensing.
"Chill bro, I'm just kidding!" I laugh as I reach the top of the steps, and open the door.

In all seriousness though, I am glad that Rydel is on her way. With all of the writing that the five of us have been doing, plus the errands she needs to run, it's good to be able to spend time with her. Even if it is just making sandwiches.
I'm just beginning to pile the stack of food onto a plate, when the front door opens and Rydel walks in with a washing basket filled with clothes. It sounds funny but Stormie still insists that she does our washing for us at least once a week. I place down my platter of sandwiches and help Rydel carry the basket of washing over to the dining room table, so it is out if the way. She follows me back into the kitchen, sitting on the bench as I continue to cut up some bread.

"How's your Mom?" I ask, looking up to meet my girlfriend's eyes.
"She's good. I think she misses having us all there to fuss over 24/7 though."
"Yeah I bet she does. She sure does love to fuss when it comes to us." I wink at her.
"It's because she loves us though." She says thoughtfully.
"Does that mean I need to fuss over you?" I joke.
"God no! You already do that enough Ell!"
"I most certainly do not fuss!" I sass, playfully shoving a piece of bread in her mouth to shut her up.

Suddenly Rydel begins to cough, and I panic. Frantically, I fill a nearby cup with water and tip it to her lips. Her body shakes, which at first I blame on her choking, but then I see her laughing into the cup.
"You're totally fine aren't you?" I say, causing her to laugh even harder.
"I was really worried Del. I thought you were choking."
She manages to stop laughing long enough to say, "Jeez Ell, stop fussing!", and then she loses it again. As my eyes meet hers, I try to keep a straight face, but it's too hard and we both end up jn hysterics.
"Rat? I'm hungry!" A voice drifts up the stairs from the garage, interrupting our laughter.
"I guess I'd better go fuss over your brothers now." I wink at my girlfriend, as she jumps down from the bench.
"Ok Ell. I'm going to put this washing away." I peck her lips, before we go our separate ways.

Rocky basically tears the plate out of my hand the minute I re-enter the garage, and Ross all but inhales his own sandwich. When there are only a few crumbs left on the plate, Riker speaks up.
"Ellington, we've been talking."
"About?" I raise my eyebrows in question.
"You and Rydel." Ross answers. I gulp as he continues. "We were wondering about when you guys were going to confirm your relationship to the fans. I mean, they pretty much have guessed by now."
I sit in silence at the unexpected question, until Riker speaks up.
"We don't want to rush the pair of you, and like we said it's up to you when you tell them.." He trails off.
"To be honest guys, I'm ready whenever Rydel is ready. How about I talk to her and I'll let you guys know?"
"Sure thing bro!" Rocky and I high five.
We chat about the band some more and them Riker calls it a day, so the four of us trudge upstairs, exhausted from a long day.
