Friday Night Bites

Elijahs P.O.V.

I woke up happiness radiating around me, hearing my sisters voice downstairs asking, her grandmother who staying in the guest room. I hopped up to bed and walk silently in the kitchen, to see nikki, her brother and grandmother are already eating leaving an empty seat beside Nikki, as I greater them.

"Good Morning" I smiled warmly to them, and look at nikki giving her a loving smile, which she returned and I walk up to her and said, "You must, be Monique your grandmother has told great things about you, my name is Elijah its nice too meet you", I kissed her hand softly, looking at her eyes still.

She looked at me in a shocked and confused expression, just stared at me with a blank face like she's in some kind of flashback.

(3rd Person P.O.V) Flashback...

Nikki 2 years old

Elijah 26 years old

Elijah and Nikki are walking around there house talking with Elijah's hand holding unto nikkis. When they reach there garden both of them sat near the pond.While Nikki, played her little hands in the water.

"Elijah when will Niklaus and kol be home?" she asked, her brother worriedly.

"I do not know monique, you know father is always telling them so many stuff to do." as he look at her and saw that she's still playing in the water completely out of thought, so he took her small hands and kissed it soflty and said, "Everything is going to be alright little sister you worry to much about, but it should be us who should worry about you"

"I can't help but always feel worry about all of you elijah, because even though I'm little I still have a big heart that cares about her family so much." she pointedly said, giving him a tight hug then whispered, "I can't lose you all Elijah, I love you all so much" crying slightly.

Elijah look at her sister lovingly, thinking how can such a young little girl talk all mature, not like his other siblings he guess that he really is lucky, at least he's not the only one really worried about family, its the little girl standing in front of him that does not stop thinking about family.

"We will never leave you Monique remember that" as, he hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead, looking at her eyes saying, "Family above all, Remember?"

"Family Above All Elijah ... family above all" she said, kissing Elijah's cheek, and hugging him one last time.

Flashback Ended...

Elijahs P.O.V

I look at her, worriedly seeing as she look at me with a confused with a slight happiness lingering in her eyes and just gave me a small smile, shaking my hand and said,

"Nice, too meet you Elijah" she softly said to me with a loving tone.

"nice too meet you dear, your grandmother tells me that you love to write stories?" I said, giving her a loving smile.

"GRANDMA,!" exclaimed to her grandmother.

I chukled slightly, as her grandmother explained to her.

"what, I just told him about your talents" her grandmother mumbled.

"I admired it actually your paintings in your room, there quite very creative" I said, honestly and giving her a reassuring smile.

"well I must get going, I'm going to meet mayor Lockwood" I said, and added, " and thank you for the breakfast"

"ummm... can I go with you, its just that its a long walk to school and my brothers not going soooo yeah! Can, I come?" she aksked, nervously and shyly, tucking some of her loose hair behind her ear.

"Sure I'll just drop you off to school." I smiled at her and feeling somehow happy that I get to spend some time with her in the car and just to get to know her.

"Thanks I'll just grab my bag." she said, running upstairs to her room.

I got outside and take a seat in the drivers waiting for her paitently and as I saw her ran towards my car and sat at the passengers seat. As I started the car, I asked her.

" So how old are you Monique?" I questionly asked.

"oh I'm 16 turning 17 in 2 months." she said, still looking outside in a deep thought, playing at the strands of her hair, nervously looking anywhere but me.

"Are you quite alright?" I asked, concerned at her behavior.

"Ah yeah, its just that can I ask you something?" she said to me.

"Of course" I said

" Have I known you before its just that when I'm around I feel like I know you a very long time." she said, looking at me questionly.

I froze for a moment looking at her eyes field with innocence and vulnerability. I don't know what to tell her, so I just shurreged and look back at the road hopping she doesnt ask me anymore questions. When I look at her, I saw her eyes saddened and gave me a little nod before looking back at the window. Well, this getting to know plan isn't going to end well.

Nikki P.O.V

Elijah dropped me to school early, and told me he will pick me up later, because he wants to get to know me and I agreed. I just have a feeling that I know him for a long time and I felt safe when I around him.
