'Day 2, Ivy's mind log'
Today has been terrifically awful! I haven't slept for two days, which makes everything worse, and Eugene has gotten sick. Peter, on the other hand, has learned the ways of cooking and has made dinner. It tastes like.... BLERGH.... Nastiness. Well he tried. I guess it's good we now know to never put pop tarts with leftover Mc Donald's food. It is disgusting. Eugene has told me to actually try to sleep. I won't. I can't hear the words from dad. And I can't watch me kill my mom. Today Eugene is supposed to get the permit, so within a week we shall have a licensed driver.
(Hour Later; Not in Mind Log)
Peter walked in holding a small box. He had gone out for ice in the lobby. But there was no ice with him. He carried the box over to me and little tears were in his eyes.
"C-can you fix it?"
I looked down and saw a puppy. It was still alive but badly injured. It had black fur, with light brown ears and paws. My heart broke. I hadn't used my 'mist' power in awhile but I should warm up to it. I closed my eyes and hovered my hands over the small pup. Slowly green mist spread over the dog, and the wounds sealed up and the fur grew back. Slowly the pup's eyes widened and it hopped up hesitantly. Then it's tail wagged, it jumped up and licked my face. I chuckled and hugged the small pup. I picked it up.
"He's a boy."
Peter said.
"I see."
"Can we keep him?!"
I looked over to him then back to the pup. He had no collar, and was left for dead.
"Sure!"
He clapped happily and said.
"What's his name?"
I looked at the small pup.
"How about... Thresh?"
"Ooo!"
Thresh jumped happily in my lap. I scratched behind his ears. Then Eugene walked in.
"What's that?"
"This is Thresh!"
"I reduced him! And Ivy healed him!!!"
Eugene walked over and looked at the small pup. He picked up Thresh and smiled.
"I like him."
"So how'd the test go?"
I asked and took Thresh back.
"Ace'd it with flying colors!"
"Yay!"
I high-fives him.
"That is no way to celebrate!"
He sets Thresh down and hugs me. He swings me around causing me to squeal and laugh uncontrollably.
