PROLOGUE
I remember the day it started, perfectly, like it only happened minutes ago. It's not something that I wanted to remember but it was engraved in my mind, haunting my every thought, never going away. It made my head ache just to think about the day everything changed. The worst thing about it though, was that every time I thought back to that day in the hospital, the doctor's words echoed in my head as my world came crashing down around me. As screaming had erupted through the white hallways and people had started attacking others, eating each other, I had run to safety, my thoughts in a confused haze, but even then I heard his words.
"I'm sorry, I really am, but I'm afraid you're dying. You have around a year."
A/N
Hey guys, thanks for reading this book. I know the prologue is really short, but don't let it scare you away, the actual chapters are a lot longer. This was just a little bit of insight to Avery's world as everything went up in flames and what she has to deal with as well as people going around eating other people.
Have fun and don't get bitten,
