Chapter nine - The First Transformation

Somewhere in the Caribbean Sea.
On an Island now known as Mayhem.
The Morgan's home, Halifax, NS.

This was it; this was the moment where everyone gathered was either going to witness the birth of the first hero or the death of a young man named Benjamin J. Morgan! The group of witnesses were keeling about 20 feet away from the youth who seemed unconscious. At his feet were several bundles of dry chopped wood piled around his feet. Hiding the dozens of roots that came-out of the ground and wrapped around the young man's lower legs! A clear smell of some type of gasoline could be smelled.
Two armed guards had moved Special Agent MT. Morgan to the front of the witnesses. The tucker family was right behind her. They forced her to the ground. She stared into the face of her youngest and saw that he looked like hell; the chains wrapped around his body! The spikes that went through his palms and forearms! The signs that he was heavily whipped over his upper body! Much of the upper body, the skin was burnt from acid!
After the guards moved away, she looked more closely at Ben's face. There was a lot of dirt and dried blood, and she watched intensity as the last of the bruising just below his left eye slowly fade-away. Looking over the ripped bloody clothes and thick linked-chains that were also covered in her son's blood! Special Agent MT. Morgan; noticed that all of the blood was dried. Her sharp eyes couldn't see one single opened wound. She remembered what agent Charles Armstrong told her that Ben could regenerate far faster. She suspected that more than likely he wouldn't be able to heal if he was dead.

There was still hope for them all. She glanced over her right shoulder at one of the other surviving special agents that came with her; Robby, seemed to be doing the same thing, he looked things over, which, was his specialty. She could also see the Tucker family, the mother was trying to block the view to her son and the father was now holding the blanket which held their unconscious daughter. The general stepped in front of the witnesses as his men placed themselves into positions that would cover all of the prisoners. Looking around at the faces of all of the hostages, the general clearly had the look of a man who had won or became king of the world.

Stepping in front of agent MT. Morgan he bent down to get into her face; smiling she said. "You know, being this close to me, even in this position I could kill you in half-a-second!?" With a chuckling smear, the general responded "Go ahead Marie, but, you take a good look around... All of my men have orders to kill all of you hostages if anything happens to me!" That moment, MT Morgan scanned the general's men.
The general stood, took a few steps back and with his arms stretched wide, he turned around and around (basically a 360), till he again faced the gathered group and yelled "I hold all the cards!" Ben opened an eyes just a crack and saw the general turning around. He so wanted to act, but he heard what was said. If, he was to act now, the general's men would kill the hostages. He had to wait for the fire, to go through share hell as he was being burned alive! Only then could he absorb, convert and release all that energy at all of the soldiers at once.
MT Morgan was delighted to witness her son's eyes opened, she now knew that there was indeed hope. She didn't let on, so she looked just as hopeless. Which, wasn't hard looking at the spikes going through her son's palms and forearms, brought tears quickly to her eyes. No mother would want to see their child going through such pain and traumatic suffering.

At that moment half a world away, in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Another battle is about to begin. Special agent Armstrong, Charles 'Claw'; is under-cover as Lt. Winter, Bobby 'Claw', in the Canadian Naval Forces. He was also assigned to safe guard the Morgan family. However, he had falling in love with the daughter; Ann Morgan, and she is now carrying his unborn child. Recently, in the short matter of a few weeks, he's witnessed some amazing things with this family. Some serious tragedies with the death of the oldest son. Then the youngest son; Ben Morgan, became some Ancient Powered Being who depends on the Sun! Basically, a 'Sun God'! Now however, both Ben and his mother are down in the Caribbean trying to save all those hostages. He and five other agents were parked in two vehicles near the Morgan's home.
