I pulled my coat closer around me and stared at my feet as I walked home from school. Thinking about today; I met two people, both very beautiful and rather persistent, one more than the other. One scared me a bit and made my heart melt at the sight of him while the other annoyed me but was super nice.

It may not seem like much, but it's pretty exciting to a girl who tries not to be noticed and it usually successful. I wondered what would happen if I actually tried-

My train of thought was cut off as I was viciously grabbed from behind and thrown into the back of a van. Before I could even process what was happening, I was thrown backwards as the car sped off.

What?

"Nice catch, Finn. Bet she'll taste as fine as she looks," a gruff voice sounded. My eyes widened as I realized: vampires. I opened my mouth to scream - I couldn't use my abilities just yet, or they'll kill me immediately. Before a cry for help could escape my mouth, one of the two men whipped around and he spoke lowly.

"Don't scream." The pupils of his eyes became tiny and his voice was so silky and smooth that I absently closed my mouth, unable to force myself to scream. Did he just charm speak me?

I glared as he turned back around and they laughed at my seemingly helpless state. I turned to the car door and tried to open it, but evidently they were smart enough to put child lock on. I looked around, assessing the situation.

But one thought kept running through my mind, continuously distracting me as the afternoon sunlight streamed in through tinted windows. How can they be out during the day? They've been cursed to an eternity of darkness!

Finally, I gave up on escaping like a normal human and held my hands out in front of me, closing my eyes. This will be dangerous on my behalf, but that's only if they live through this spell.

"What's she doing?" One of the vampires spoke, confused by my actions.

"Ας κάψει ο ήλιος και η φύση τιμωρεί-" I was cut off by a large thump and a dent making it's way harshly on the roof of the car. The vampires swerved and the car flipped, causing me to squeak and grip the seat tight.

Glass shattered, sinking into the leather seats of the van and into my own flesh. The vampires scrambled out of the windows of their doors, the glass not effecting them, and going to run away. Before the one who had charm spoken me could get too far, an overly large black and while wolf attacked him and ripped him to shreds.

Finally able to, I screamed as the vampire's black blood trailed after it's limbs. The wolf growled at the now dead vampire head before it walked to the car, where I was still uncomfortably curled up on a sheet of glass. The wolf poked it's snout through the window and whined, as if telling me I was alright now.

Lycanthrope. Or werewolf, if you must. Common enemy of vampires and, apparently, this one wanted to know if I was alright. I swallowed and scooted back, hissing in pain as more glass decided to shove themselves into my back, butt, and palms. Once I was out of the car, I tried to stand to run, but collapsed. Seconds later, the wolf was by my side, whimpering and nudging me lightly.

Why is this lycan acting so oddly?

And the world went black.
