We eventually made our way to the capital. It looked as if it was more colorful and full of life than district 12. People walked around in flamboyant clothing and makeup. Some of the men themselves even had it on which I thought was pretty odd. We were led to a different building, there we were given hot showers food and fresh clothes. They were a bit tight but I didn't think much of it. "Hurry now children, we must take you to meet the other tributes." Effie said with that same tone in her voice. I put on the right clothing that consisted of stretchy black pants and a black and red v-neck. I had my hair braided to the side, exiting my room I noticed Scott had an outfit similar to mine. Except his pants weren't skinny. We were led to what looked like the training room. Other teenagers were there flinging around different blades and other weapons. I had counted. There were 22 others, Scott and I made 24. That meant there was gonna be 24 of us in the games. "Attention, tributes!" Effie shouted making everyone stay still. They all paired together which made me think they were with their district partners. "We have brought to you the last 2 tributes to complete the games. Scott McCall and Allison Argent, they come to you from district 12." She explained. No one had looked to pleased to notice us. Effie began to introduce everyone, "district 4. Step forward" she said. A guy with pale skin and jet black hair stepped up along with a shorter girl with strawberry blonde hair that seemed to give her away. "Here we have Stiles Stilinski and Lydia Martin to represent district 4." The names clicked in my head part of me remembering them both. Scott and I went to high school with them. Before everyone was separated into districts. Stiles' eyes looked black almost like he was souls. I recognized his eyes in an instant. It was the nogitsune. Scott seemed to notice too, by the way he growled which only made stiles glance at him with a smirk "pathetic" I hear him mumble. "Stiles here specializes in his ability to sense when he has an enemy coming. He can find almost anyone with no problem. His weapon choice is a hatchet." Effie explained. Everyone turned their attention to him and watched as he stood a distance back, he took three hatchets and threw them at a dummy. One nailing it in the head, the other in the stomach and the last one in the groin area. Everyone applauded as he stepped back. "Next we have Lydia and I can tell you now. She's a screamer." Everyone chuckled "not only does she have the ability to break through any shield with her voice. She's small enough to fit into any hiding spot, the only thing is her strawberry blonde hair gives her away easily even from a distance. Her weapon choice? Throwing knives." Lydia's emerald green eyes looked on the glass in front of her and she screamed. Loud enough to make people's ears ring in pain. Everyone covered their ears and watched as the knife hit the dummy in the neck making a large cut. The scream echoed away and she stepped back. "Well then, moving along. District 3 step forward." A girl with short brown hair and chocolate brown eyes stepped forward along with a boy who seemed to have the same features. "Here we have Malia Tate. And Theo Raken. They aren't like much different from us, except for only a few things." Effie explained. In unison both of their eyes began to glow blue in color, the both let out loud roars showing their sharp fangs and claws. This drew Scott's attention making his eyes glow red and growl right back at them. I didn't recognize either of them but he seemed to know them by the way he looked. Everyone clapped as they stepped back sharing glances at each other. Effie continued to go down the list, "district 5" she called out as they stepped forward "here we have Jordan Parrish and Kira Yukamira." The names clicked in Scott's head as his eyes immediately locked on Kira but she didn't look back "Scott who is she?" I whispered to him "she's...she's no one important." He said, but I knew he was lying. I just didn't say anything of it. "Parrish and Kira here are also not much like us." She stated "Kira's weapon choice, her samurai sword and Parrish has his spears. Kira, Parrish? Give us a little show" Effie said and they did. Both of them had had flames around their bodies and their eyes were orange. Kira seemed to have a fox like figure surrounding her as she whipped out her sword slicing the dummy in a clean half, cutting the head off as a trophy. Parrish had fangs also, he drew his speared chunking it at the dummy nailing right in the heart making the stuffing fall out. He let out a low growl and stepped back in line with Kira and she put her sword away. "A kitsune and a hellhound." I hear Scott mumbled making me looked up at him "what?" I asked and he looked down "I'll have to explain later. I can't now it's to dangerous." He said moving away from the subject for now. Effie showed us the other district tributes. District 11 consisted of two kids, Kayden and Ella. Kayden carried a bladed tonfa while Ella had a pike as their weapon choices.
District 10, their names were Jaden and Tori. Jaden used a Sai while Tori used a chained sickle
District 9 was Dylan and Lexy. Lexy using a spiked mace and Dylan using daggers.
District 8 was Thomas and Skylar, they both seemed to have evil looks in their eyes. Like they wanted to kill you slowly to make you suffer worse. Their weapons were an axe and a machete.
District 7 were two short teenagers by the names of Liam and Hayden. Scott tilted his head at Liam sensing something "he's a beta." He whispered to me. I guess that explains why he had no weapon while Hayden carried sharp bladed ninja stars.
District 6 was a somewhat tall African American boy who's name was Mason and a Hispanic looking girl by the name of Tracy. Tracy had a long tail and scaly skin. She had fangs and claws "what's she...?" I whispered to Scott. Scott looked "she's a chimera" he stated. Mason's weapon was simply knives.
District 2 were two betas by the names Erica and Boyd, Boyd being another African American in the games.
District 1 were what looked like brother and sister. I could tell by the looks on their faces. Cora and Derek were their names. Scott explained to me that Derek was an omega. But he was different, he didn't say how Cora had in her hand a bladed boomerang, one of the blades was dripping blood from someone in the room.
We were the last ones to be fully introduced everyone stood back and watched as I went first. I picked up a bow and arrow looking for a target, but I could find one, then I noticed a table full of people one who had an apple in his hand. "Bingo" I whispered drawing my bow back, I aimed at the guys hand and Shot the arrow hitting the apple in the center and watched as the arrow landed in the wall. This earned me a glare from the guy holding the apple and I simply turned away to watch Scott. His presentation was short. He closed his eyes and opened them again. They were Crimson blood red. He let out a roar showing his fangs and and claws. Everyone gasped "an alpha." Someone whispered.
Effie smirked "ladies and gentlemen. This years hunger games will be very interesting, all I can say is this. You have two weeks and this year we threw in something special but we will not reveal any information until later on." She chuckled observing everyone in the room. "Tributes, may the odds be forever in your favor." She said before leaving.
Everyone proceeded to their normal training including Scott and I. Effie was right, this year wasn't just a battle for life and death. It was a battle against the humans and the supernatural.
