Robin and Starfire went up to their bedroom as soon as they got home. Star changed into a pair of shorts and a baggy T shirt. She hopped in bed, her back facing Robin. She was almost over the edge of the bed, trying to give Robin as much space as possible.
She felt awkward laying beside him, as if they were husband and wife. Robin knew she was trying to give him space, but he wanted Star as close to him as possible.
''Star, you know you don't have to fall off the bed just so I can have room,'' Robin told her. ''I know. But I just thought you'd be more comfortable.'' she replied. Robin reached out, and like a hook, snaked around her waist and pulled her close. Starfire turned around to face Robin, her jade eyes glittering in the dark. Robin had the most gorgeous eyes she'd ever seen. Robin leaned forward first, wanting to make the most of this opportunity. Star leaned in, too. Sparks flew as their lips touched. Starfire, who was very nervous, tried to pull away. Robin still kissed her though, his hand running through her think hair. Starfire put her hands on Robin's waist.
They pulled away, looking into each others eyes. Robin smiled, pulling her underneath him. They kissed again, now in a full kissing session. Finally, Robin got underneath Star, keeping her on top of his chest. They both fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning Star awoke with Robin gone. She looked up and saw the bathroom door shut. She heard a toilet flush, and the sink turn on. Star put her head back down and rolled over on her side. Robin walked out of the bathroom, dressed in a green T and khaki shirts. ''Star,'' Robin said, kissed her head. ''C'mon. You and me are going to go on a date.'' Star jumped up and flew in to the bathroom, accidentally shutting the door so hard it almost fell of the hinges. ''One minute, friend Robin!'' she called. Star brushed her teeth and her hair. She changed into a pair of shorts and a FREE HUGS t shirt. ''Ready to go?'' Robin asked as he grabbed Star's hand gently. ''Yes,'' she replied as the two walked out the door together.
First the two went to a diner for brunch. Their waitress looked like a senior in high school. She was chunky and very pale; she had her hair dyed a platinum blonde color; and worst of all, she had green eye shadow and pink lipstick. Star tried to keep calm when the girl flirted with Robin and when she gave her an odd look when Star ordered mustard to be mixed in with her pancakes. Star's eyes flashed, and she almost punched the woman in her face. Robin grabbed Star and escorted her out of the diner. ''Don't bring that freak back here! She doesn't belong here anyway!'' shouted a few angry waitresses. Robin and Star headed toward the board walk. For the rest of the day, they rode rides and listened to the band that was playing. Before the sun could fully set, Robin and Star hopped on the Ferris wheel. Star had been upset all day because of the rude comment made at her by the waitresses.
''Star, what's wrong?'' Robin asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. He knew exactly what was wrong. ''Perhaps I do not belong here,'' Star cried. ''Maybe it would be better if I returned to Tameran.'' Robin hugged her. She was crying softly into his chest. She looked up and sighed. ''I cannot stay here any longer. I am..the freak.'' She flew up gently from the Ferris wheel, hugging herself. ''Star! Wait..,'' Robin's voice trailed off as she flew up toward space and away from earth.
