I was lucky, the bullet only grazed my left ear, which now stings as blood flows from it. I stand there, shock freezing me in place. I saw my life flash before my eyes. Dark then cocks his head, the smile still remaining.
"Oops," he says with his rumbling voice. "Looks like this gun has a weird aim. Lucky for me, I have a more bullets where that came from. I can shoot all day, Jack." He pats his pocket, the unmistakable bulge of a magazine in it. "But I should be bound to get the target." As he says that, he pulls the gun up and closes one eye as he aims. I'm a dumbass for this, but I just now look at the beanie on his head. Why the fuck am I paying attention to that?! I'm about to fucking die! Suddenly, without even intending to, I run for dear life. I run and run and run. But bad luck catches up with me, I've only made it about ten feet before tripping on a root and falling face first onto the ground, actually sliding a little due to how fast I was running and my momentum.
"Fuck," I mumble, my whole body in pain. In about two seconds, I feel the presence of that barrel pointing at my head again. Suddenly, I hear a bang, the gun firing. I open my eyes, which I didn't even realized I closed, and found out that Dark shot the bullet an inch away from my head, my ear ringing.
"Gotcha," Dark said with a grin. I sit there in shock, the ringing starting to cease. Dark is still on top of me, putting the gun's safety on. Then, all Hell breaks loose inside of me.
"Dark!" I yell, while he laughs. "Dark what the FUCK?! I THOUGH I WAS GONNA DIE!!!" Dark just laughs getting off of me.
"That's the point, dumbass," Dark says in between laughs. I get up and feel my ear, which was barely torn on the end due to the bullet grazing it. I winced when it sent shocks of pain up my nerves.
"Jack!" Dark says. I look up and see...Mark. Oh, ok. "Holy shit! I saw everything from inside of my own head. I though Dark was gonna kill you! I tried to get out but I couldn't."
"Eh, it's fine, lad," I say, getting my shit together.
"Holy balls!" Mark says. "Bro, you got a friggin' bullet in your arm!" I look and see the bullet hole in my arm. All of the pain then comes to me; it feels like fire. Mark then notices the 45 in his hand and screams, almost dropping it. He fumbles with it for a second before getting a firm grip and slipping it into his pocket.
"Let's at least get home," I say. Mark nods and we find our way back. Mark opens the door and closes it once I get in.
"Damn it," Mark sighs. "All of this bullshit happening so early. Jesus. It's only one in the afternoon." Mark then lays back, just now noticing the beanie on his head. He shrugs and adjusts it. I smile and go upstairs to get mine. I ain't leaving without my beanie, bruh and I know that Anti likes wearing it too. I come back down.
"Two can play at the beanie game, bruh," I say. "We all know I'm the beanie king here. You're just the king of the squirrels."
"Yea," Mark says with a huge grin. "But I'm a good king of the squirrels."
"Yea," I say during laughs. "A king who smears fucking peanut butter over his face and goes outside to get the squirrels to lick it off."
"Yea," Mark says. He adjusts his bangs and fixes them up. He them squirms and dig in his pocket and pull out the pistol. "How did he get this? I don't even own one of these." He goes upstairs and comes back down and sits on the couch. I'm right now just tending to my arm. The best I could do was get the bullet out and put like twenty layers of bandages on it. It's still sore even after I took some pain medicine. "So, how's your arm?"
"It's all right," I say. "It's still a little sore, but other than that it's fine. This is the bullet by the way." I show him the bullet which I've already washed off. Mark grabs and looks at it.
"That's a damn big bullet!" Mark says with shock. "It's so big and wide! This could blow someone's head off!" I nod and Mark sets the bullet down on the coffee table.
"Well," I say. "I'm gonna get some rest, because after using all of my adrenaline I'm tired. It takes energy when you're being chased by a mad man demon with a gun." I go upstairs and lay down, careful not to squish my arm. I then fall asleep.Mark's POV
"What the hell was all of the commotion about?" Wilford asks as he comes down the stairs. "The only thing I know is that Dark barged in my room with a big pistol and that was it."
"Just Dark dicking around," I say with a shrug. "He decided to play hide and seek with Jack; he tried to kill him but it just turned out to be some huge prank. But he did actually shoot Jack in the arm and grazed his ear with a bullet.
"Damn," Wilford says. "That sounds like the kind of game Dark would play with me! Not Jack." I nod in agreement.
'But, Mark,' Dark says in the back of my head. 'I play with whomever I choose.'
"Ok," I says out loud. "That sounds wrong."
'Tsk tsk. Always thinking negative, hm? What a pessimist you are.'
"Oh please. You for a fact know what kind of bullshit runs through my head. And it's basically your mind too; and you're already a pessimist."
'Well, duh. I'm the bad guy, the pessimist. Not the good guy, which in some cases is the optimist. And in this case, you're a pessimistic good guy.' I just roll my eyes and ignore him.
"As much as I hate to do this," Wilford starts. "But it's true. You're kinda a pessimistic good guy."
"Never agree with me ever again, got it?" Dark growls using my mouth, while I point at him.
"Firstly," Wilford says. "I said that I hate doing it. Second, I wouldn't even dream of doing it ever again. I'm not saying I won't though."
After about an hour or two later, Jack comes down. The odd thing was, was how unusually silent he was. At first, I thought he was just half asleep and didn't want to talk. But then I really felt like something was wrong. That something being Anti. I get up and go to the kitchen. I get in front of him and sure enough, his head is bent down, shadows not allowing me to really see his face. I then see something drip down, I look more closely and see that it's black and thick, almost like blood.
"Are you alright?" I ask, afraid of what I'll see. Then, a bright green septic eye seems to glow in the shadows. Oh for the love of fuck. Not this. He then looks up, his eyes are the same, but the black one is dripping with the black mucus and the blue isn't even there, it's like looking into a pitch black hole, but yet, the eye is still there.
"I've never been better, lad," he says with a big smile. "Thanks for askin'." He shows me his two rows of pointy teeth. With my eyes wide I point at the eye. "Oh that? It's just somethin' that happens from time to time. No big deal." He wipes some on his finger and flicks some at me, specks flying onto my glasses. I stand there with my eyes closed, frozen. I open them, my lips pursed.
"Seriously?" I ask, annoyance filling my tone. "Flick it at me? What the fuck, bro." That wasn't a question, even though it's formed to be one, it isn't. I didn't ask it, I said it as a statement. Before ya know it, I hear the low buzz of electricity, the lights flicker back and forth and then become dim. "Ok? What the fuck?" I look at Anti, and to be surprised, he's looking around too, unsure of what's happening.
"I don't know," he says. I then hear a bang and crackle of electricity. It isn't lightening, but coming from my room. Oh for fucks sake. Problem after fucking problem, right? Anyway, Anti and I slowly walk upstairs, Wilford tagging along as well. I open my bedroom door and find...me? Wait. Is that me? I then take a step forward, but Wilford takes a step ahead of me.
"Google," Wilford whispers. It turns around, I then see it. The huge faintly glowing white "G" on the shirt, his eyes glowing a faint blue.
"Google?" I sat out loud. Google does a beep and answers.
"Yes?" He replies slowly in my Google voice.
"Turn on the fucking lights?" I ask, not sure if he'll take the order. Then the lights flash on, blinding me momentarily. I fall back, covering my eyes.
"Gah fuck!" I yell, caught by surprise.
"Oops," Google says with his weird grin. "My bad." His eyes then fade to look likely mine I see how his bangs are in his face, just like I did. Dark then comes forth.Authors Note
