Sierra's POV

Mal, Evie, Carlos and I were all sitting in Mal and Evie's dorm, when Jay walks through the door showing off his new tourney jersey.

Carlos wolf whistles,
"Did the plan work with Jane, you going over to see the wand?" Jay asked his arm hanging over the bed post.

"Do you think I would be going through every single spell in this book if I hadn't completely struck out?" Mal said frustration clear in her voice.

"Oh, someone's in a bad mood" I heard Carlos say from beside me
"My mom's counting on me, I can't let her down" Mal said then flicked Carlos on the back of his head, causing me to glare at her

"We can do this, if we stick together" Jay said over the other conversations going on, causing us all to look at him.

"And we won't go back until we do because we're rotten" Mal said.

"To the core" we all said simultaneously

"Oh yeah, I found out Fairy Godmother blesses Ben with the wand at coronation , and we all get to go... of course I have nothing to wear" Evie said rolling her eyes

There was a knock at the door
"hold that thought" Mal said getting up to answer it
She opened the door and there was Ben standing in the threshold with a smile plastered to his face.

"Hey, Mal, I didn't see you guys today. I was just wondering if maybe you have any questions or... anything you needed..." Ben said still keeping that annoying smile on his face

"Not that I know of... No" Mal said looking at the five of us then back to Ben
"Okay, alright, well if you need anything just, uh..."

"Oh wait!, um is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?"

"Yeah, the whole school goes" Ben said
"Wow. That's beyond exciting, do you think its a possibility that the four of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy God Mother so we could soak up all that goodness?" Mal asked hopefully

"I wish you could, but in the front row its only me, my folks, and my girlfriend" He said with his smile faltering a little

"Your girlfriend?" Mal asked
"Yeah. I'm sorry" Ben said still smiling
"Okay thanks bye" Mal said closing the door in his face
"Oh but there's plenty of-" was the last thing he said before the closing door cut him off

"I think its time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend, and I need a love spell" Map said smirking
Carlos passed her, her spell book

*****In the kitchen****
Sierra's POV
I was sitting next to Carlos on a metal shelf with my head resting on his shoulder.
"All right it says that we still need one tear, and I never cry" Mal said looking at the recipe in her spell book

"Let's just chop up some onions" Carlos suggested
"No, it says that we need one tear of human sadness and this love potion gets the best reviews, so we have to follow it exactly." Mal said stirring the potion in a metal bowl
"A tear's a tear" Jay said souding annoyed
"That's not true Jay. They both have antibodies and enzymes, but an emotional tear has more protein-based hormones than a reflex tear" Evie said showing her smart side
"Listen to you" Mal said sounding impressed
"I knew that" Jay said lowly
"You did not" I said smirking "Yeah I did" he said still trying to get someone to believe him

All of the sudden the door open and Lonnie walked in.

"There you are Mal, I was looking for you. You know all the girls want you to do their hair. Midnight snack huh? What're you guys making?" Lonnie said looking into the metal mixing bowl in front of Mal and Evie

"Uh nothing special..." Mal started until Lonnie dipped her finger into the bowl and licked the dough off

"No!" All of us yelled at the same tine, trying to stop her before she put the unfinished potion in her mouth

"What? I'm not gonna double dip" she said obviously confused as to why we didn't want her eating the cookie dough

"Feel anything?"
"Yeah, like maybe it might be missing something?" Mal asked

Jay leaned on the bar in front of Lonnie and tried to flirt with her
"Hey there" he said, I rolled my eyes at his attempt
She looked at him and made an awkward face "it could use some chips"
Jay muttered "chips?" sounding confused
"And those are?" Mal questioned soundging slightly annoyed
"Just the most important food group" Lonnie said carrying a bowl of small brown candy things over to the table with the mixing bowl and dropping a few into the dough "Wait didn't your moms ever make you guys like chocolate chip cookies?" Carlos and I had gotten up and walked over and stood beside Evie and Mal, we all looked at her sadly
"Like when you're feeling sad and they're fresh from the oven with a big glass of milk, and she makes you laugh and puts everything into perspective..."
She said clearly not understanding how life on the Isle was for all of us
None of us said anything and I looked up at Carlos he wore a very sad look on his face causing me to hold his hand and kiss his cheek, and he gave me a soft smile.
"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Lonnie questioned us not understanding our situation
"Its just different where we come from" Mal said with a hint of sadness in her voice
"Yeah I know, I just thought even villains... Love their kids" Lonnie replied
Making me frown and all of us have the same sad and disappointed look on our faces.
"Oh, how awful" Lonnie sympathetically said putting her hand over Mal's, a single tear ran down her cheek but Mal took it and added it to the mix just before it was gone
We all acted as if we were just fine, even though none of us truly were. "Yeah well... Big bummer but we have to get these into the oven so thank you so much for stopping by. We'll see you tomorrow, evil dreams" Mal said shooing Lonnie out of the kitchen
"Okay Carlos, Jay, cookie sheet, Evie, Sierra oven."
We all did what we were told and the potion came out perfectly.
This mission may not be so impossible after all.
