TRISTAN'S POV of Chapter 2

As soon as i awoke this morning, no-one and nothing could stop my excitement, well that's what i thought, now three hours into my party and it's finally gone. Let me explain why, it's my eighteenth birthday today which means i finally get to find my mate except i can't find her, i checked right through the school twice just in-case we may of missed each other, i even stood be my front door greeting everyone expecting one to my mate, but no.

After everyone showed up, i couldn't take it no more so i did the only thing i wanted, to get drunk, even though it's impossible with human beer, we have our own blend which is ten times stronger. But even that didn't work.

I decided to go for a walk to clear my head, i really wanted to find my mate tonight but it looks like she's not in this pack, oh well at least i don't have to give up sleeping with other girls for little bit longer.

I made it to the river where we found Zero yesterday, i can't believe we have someone that weak in our pack i didn't get why my father couldn't just kick her out or give her to another pack. I feel  sorry for who ever gets that as a mate, if i was her i'd want to just end it all and take away the pain and misery.

I started throwing small stones into the river with my mood dropping by the second, my father will surely be disappointed when he finds out, he was more excited then me. I was just about to stand to go back to the party when a scent floated by, it was delicious it smelt like chocolate and oranges, my wolf started bouncing in surprise i realised why then, our mate was near, finally but should i go find her or just wait, my thinking stopped when i felt a small tap on my shoulder.

I jumped up quickly and turned only to have air knocked completely out of me, excitement was coursing through me until shock took over, i looked at who was stood in front of me, i sniffed the air again seeing if this was a mistake, nope it was definitely her, Zero.

Within a few minutes disgust and hatred started to take over from the shock. the only thoughts in my head now were ' no, why and reject', i looked up towards to sky instead of looking at her.

"You have got to be kidding me, goddess no, this is just insulting" i spoke putting as much disgust in my voice that was possible.

I was thinking back to earlier about being sorry for her mate, turns out i was right because i definitely feel sorry for myself now. I looked towards her then and she had a hurt look on her face but it didn't look completely real.

"You, it just had to be you"

She looked down pretending to be upset but i could see the edges of her mouth tilting upward, she was smirking, the infuriating bitch. Time to reject her and move on.

"I Tristan Drake do hereby..." i didn't get far before she cut me off, why is she just prolonging the inevitable.

"No please don't reject me, i'll change please, i'll die without you, Alpha have mercy please" she cried out.

I stood there staring at her, first it was shock thinking she was actually begging me not to reject her until i looked in her eyes, i could tell she rehearsed this speech before this which means she already knew that we were mates, i knew she already expected me to reject her and i bet she intends to leave the pack straight after. 'Like hell' i thought, i couldn't help the smirk making it's way on my face.

"I Tristan Drake do hereby....ACCEPT you Alexis Compton as my mate" i spoke loud and clear to make sure she heard.

As soon as i finished speaking i could see the confusion on her face, she started to freak out her breathing becoming harsh and quick.

"NO NO NO NO you weren't suppose to accept this you were supposed to reject, you hate me and i disgust you, why in goddess name would you accept me" she screamed at me obviously panicking, which is expected since i just ruined her plans.

I couldn't help laughing at the confused expression on her face.

"OH thank goddess you're just messing with me, it's all a joke, you had me there for a minute"

I just about heard what she said, it stopped my laughter completely, how dare she think i was joking i'll just have to show her i mean it. I walked towards her as if she was my prey, i grabbed her by the throat, i wanted to make sure my point got across, i squeezed gently to make sure she could still breathe and talk, i could see her visibly gulp and her panic start to show through. I leaned in close to her ear.

"I'm not joking Zero i have accepted you, i know you like to think i'm stupid but i'm far from it" i spoke in a low tone to freak her out more. I also remember what she said.

"You were wrong about something else, why do you think i call you Zero, i don't hate you, i don't love you either, i call you Zero because i feel absolutely nothing for you"

I wanted to make her understand, mate or not i will never feel anything for her, she is weak, an omega. I could feel her whole body shaking and smelt the fear coming off her, at least now she knows.

"So why did you accept this thing between us, if you just rejected me then we could both be happy, you could mate with any number of the she-bitches in the pack" she whispered.

Oh i'm gonna be happy but she's not, and i will be with the other, what did she call them 'she-bitches', if the goddess put us together why should i let some other wolf take whats mine, yeah over my dead body, but that doesn't mean i want her, hell no, i just want to make sure she stays miserable just like omega's should be.

 "Now why would  i want you to be happy huh, then i wouldn't get the pleasure of hurting you more now could i" i said evilly.

 She suddenly went still.

"Ooowww," i screamed the bitch just kicked me between the legs.

I dropped her to grab myself, i looked up to her to find her gone, i couldn't help but burst into laughter she really thinks she can get away from me, stupid stupid Zero.
