"I can't do it" Sky whined for the tenth time.

"The goddess said you should know how" i yelled back.

Taking a deep breath i apologized to Sky, it's not her fault that we've spent two days trying to contact anyone from the other packs, i know she's trying as hard as she can i can feel her determination and emotions.

I'm starting to think that maybe it's one of the 'gifts' ,understanding others emotions would obviously come in useful getting mates together and as long as i could turn i off, i wouln't mind.

I could feel Sky calming down, i could also sense that she felt useless not be able to do it straight away, i was wondering what i could say to help the situation.

"It's fine Sky we have a month left here so don't rush it ok, the longer we stay from the packs the better for us" i spoke calmly to show her that i meant it.

"Better for us, Alexis if any of the packs find us here first, they'd kill us on the spot, we're in their territory without asking and we're also classed as a rogue now"

I realized what she was saying, we are a rogue now, looking at my left palm i was shocked the mark was gone, each pack has a symbol on their left palms to show which pack they belong to, i did have a crescent moon for the Ruby pack, there is a diamond for the Jade pack, triangle for the Topaz pack and a star fort the Onyx pack.

If you were to ever come across another wolf, it was customary to show your left palm to show pack before introducing names and dealing with business etc.

I must of been spacing out because i could feel Sky becoming anxious, then i realized why i spaced in the first place.

"Technically Sky we've always been a rogue, well ever since my parents died, no-one protected us, no-one was there to help us on our first shift and no-one has been there to ever offer comfort, so why should i care now what they think" the hurt i've felt showing with each word spoken.

Sky stayed silent, she knew i was right just like i knew she also had a point, so in a way we were both admitting defeat.

"Hey Sky how about giving up for tonight it's getting late and i'm hungry i'm going to order some food and get some sleep maybe tomorrow will go better"

"Fine it was beginning to stress me out anyway"

I must of been exhausted, after i ate a full pepperoni pizza, i was out like a light on the bed.

After my morning shower and breakfast Sky and i were going to try again, i walked to the armchair in the corner, before i reached it something caught my eye, going to the end table i picked it up from behind the clock, it was the envelope the goddess gave me, scanning through the contents again a small smile started to form on my face.

"Hey Sky, i think i found another way"

"Yeah like what?" she sounded skeptical.

"Well i found the letter the goddess gave me, it said that you should know, BUT.. if you didn't there's another way you could do it"

Making my way over to the bed i could feel the doubt in Sky, after tiding up the covers and laying down i just tried to relax and regulate my breathing.

"What now, i'm hoping this is a part of it and your not just taking another nap"

I chuckled.

"I've done my part now it's yours, first off get rid of the doubt, try and relax and when your calm enough drop all your walls and extend all your senses, when you've dropped yours i'll drop mine ok"
