Bean had known this boy named Ryder her while life. He was her neighbor. He was older than Bean but only by like 3 years. Ryder had been the best basketball player Mr. Anderson, Peter's dad, has ever had but Ryder had started getting behind on school work and was skipping practices to hang out with girl friend, medley. Mr . Anderson cut Ryder from the team. Ryder had anger issues and being cut from the team really made him mad. Ryder was home alone with his two little sisters. Bean ran to Ryder's house and knocked on the door, she yelled " Ryder up the dang door it's Bean I really need to talk to u... alone!" Ryder's two little sisters, May and Summer, opened the door.
Bean pushed the girls out of the way and ran upstairs to Ryder's room. She walked in and slammed the door behind her. Ryder looked at her "what's up Bean, why do u look so mad." Bean lost her cool and yelled at him, "WHY'D KILL MR AND MRS ANDERSON! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU RYDER!?!?!" She ran to his closet and saw the gun, still loaded. She strated crying. She couldn't believe he actually done it, she thought he did but she wanted him to prove her wrong.
She walked downstairs, told May and Summer goodbye and started walking back to the lake. She told Peter she was sorry and she was sure her parents wouldn't mind if he stayed with her for a few days. The three walked back to Bean's house, arms around each other.
