getting the car

*after i get the car from the station at 10pm*

"hey charlie i gotta go to a meeting for all of California's officers in the morning" i said putting the keys in my bag and sitting in a chair while charlie sat on couch

"where?" asked charlie

"Brentwood and its at 9am" i said

"that like 5 hours away damn"said charlie

"yeah so i gotta get up at like 3 because traffic" i said

"how long will you be gone?" asked charlie

"im texing nick about it" i said

"what is this thing your going to anyways?" asked charlie

"its supposed to be like a retreat thing" i said

"still confused"said charlie

"its like me and nick are supposed to talk and bond with other officer but both of us tend to stick to the shadows and we dont talk well with others" i said

"good luck with that"said charlie

"ok the whole thing is 3 days long and nick has this brother that lives in this huge house so me and him are staying there" i said

*upstairs and im packing stuff in my bag and charlies sitting on my bed*

" i gotta leave in a couple of minutes" i said

"ok promise your call me and the guys" said charlie as i was getting my gun

" i promice ill call you when i get there" i said

"bye kiddo"said charlie as i hugged him

*at nicks house*

"hey sky"said nick as we walked to the parking lot

"hey you can put your stuff in the back" i said getting in

*in brentwood at 3am*

"ok this is his house"said nick as we pulled up

"what is he a heart surgeon?" i asked

"try brain"said nick as we got our backpacks out of the back seat

"wow please tell me i can go to sleep" i said while he knocked on the door

"hi little bro"said his brother as i locked the car

"you two come in i just got home"said cole

"do you guys want anything to eat?"asked cole as we walked into the kitchen

"do you have any apples?" i asked

"yeah here ya go" said cole while handing me an apple

"no problem so how was the drive here?" asked cole as nick and i sat in chairs

"sky would let me drive we took her car" said nick

"yep" i said sleepy

"you sound tired ill show you guys your room im jan by the way" i said

"thank you im am beyond tired i havent slept for 2 days" i said

"no problem goodnight"said jan as i texted charlie that i was ok

*20 mints later and im asleep on the couch in the room

"nick what are you doing?" i asked as he held me and walked me over to the bed

"you looked uncomfortable so you get the bed ill take the couch"said nick then put me down

"thank nick" i said

"no problem night sky"said nick then i fell asleep
