I am so sorry it has taken my like a year to update. I was just so busy with school and writing a Killjoy story that I lost track of time. I will try to update more often.

A sharp piece of metal pierces through the girls stomach. Blood soaks her clothes and dies the metal red. But this metal looks different from all the other metal. The green shell reminds me of something I've seen in some museum. It is debris of the bomb. The realization hits me. Metal flew everyone and she was unlucky enough to get caught by it.
My knees begin to wobble and I have to go on all fours to keep myself from falling on the dead girl. I hurl but nothing comes up. My back aches and stings with every movement. Tears blur my vision.
"Alex!" I scream. Still no answer. "Alex!" I am surrounded by only the sound of the flames one hundred meters away from me. The heat feels like it will melt my skin away, but I don't care.
What if he is dead? What if I caused him to come here only to die? What if he got blown to shreds? Would I even recognize his body? Could I even get back home? Tears spill over my eyes. I don't try to stop them this time. I sob. My body coughing up any dust in the air all while it is crying.
"Alex!" I scream one last time. This time, it echoes in the remains of the building. When there is no answer. I give up. I sit there, on the edge of a piece of broken concrete and cry.
I feel like I have cried for a million years when I hear someone. I immediately look up but see nothing.
"It's just a trick of my freaking mind!" I grab a rock and chuck it as far as I can.
Anger now taking over, I get up and climb my way out of the hell hole. I turn my back on all the bodies of innocent people. I turn my back on the ones who might even be living.
Once I am out of the smoldering ruins, I look around. The sky is grey with smoke. Fire is everywhere. People's screams echo from miles away. Concrete buildings are now piles of rubble, crushing anyone unlucky enough to be under its sturdy roof. Dead grass crunches underneath my bare feet. I continue to look around, terror around every corner. Who would do this to so many people?
In the distance, I see a lake. A clean, almost drained, lake. My throat then remembers how parched it is. I begin to run, wincing as pain begins to spread through out my body. I get to the lake and almost jump in. I dunk my hands into the water, cleaning them. I pull water up my arms, rinsing all the dirt and dust off. My new wounds cry with relief as the water hits them.
And that is when I realize what I am wearing. A hospital gown hangs loosely off my body. I feel a tank top and a bra under it but I still feel exposed. Black skinny jeans, the ones I was wearing are luckily still on. But I have no shoes. I scoop water into my hands and up to my mouth. I gulp it down, trying to quench my thirst. But it's no use. My head droops low and I catch a glimpse of my face in the reflection of the water.
I scowl at myself. "How could you let this happen?!" I yell at the girl staring at me. She mouths the same words back to me. I swipe the water with my hand, trying to erase her. The ripples distort her image for a second.
"Alex!" I yell with my parched throat. The sound barely comes out a squeak. I break down and lie on my side, staring at the other side of the lake.
And that is when I see a body. Half out of the water, a boy is lying there, unconscious. He is tall and skinny. His black clothes look so familiar. "Oh my gosh, Alex!"
I slip as I get up and sprint around the small lake. Sticks and twigs from the forest that makes a semicircle around the lake crack under my feet. I don't feel anything. My mind is fully set on making sure he is alive. I slide on the ground as I come up next to Alex. His upper half is luckily out of the water. I lean down and hover my ear over his mouth. He is breathing but barely.
"Do you think we killed them all?" A males voice asks.
"I don't think anyone could survive that bomb enough to get out of the destruction." Another replies. I look up from Alex and see two men with giant guns coming down to the lake. I grab Alex from under his shoulders and try to drag him. Either I am too weak or he is to heavy but I get about an inch. The men are getting closer.
I drop Alex and run for the cover of the trees. If they mean to kill any survivors, I don't want to be caught.
Oh, Gee, please don't get Alex.
