"You're not coming with us," Legolas said softly as I grabbed my horse.
"Yes I am. And in case you forgot, you're not the boss of me," I retorted.
"Please, I cannot worry about you while we fight. Just stay here."
"Legolas, enough. I'm going whether you want me to or not."
I left him after that, going on a ride to clear my head. Darkness soon came over the sky, signaling for me to stop.
Jumping off of my horse, I walked to the edge of the forest, curiosity consuming me. I didn't stay long, knowing I had to get back to Gandalf.
Once I reached the gates, I hesitated going back in. The only reason I did was because eyes were on me.
As soon as I got to the Stewards room, Gandalf was making his way out. The army, including myself and the hobbits, made it's way to Mordor.
We're the bait and I pray that we will make it out alive. Once arriving, orcs began to come out fighting.
We fought hard against them, but Flaxaraff fell to his death. I placed my head to his, closing my eyes, then got back to the battle.
As an Orc was about to kill Legolas from behind, I shot an arrow, killing it. One came at me with full force and I fought until I was on the ground, with a knife held to my throat.
The Orc fell to it's death by an arrow, Legolas. As we began to fight again, Mordor exploded causing the men who staid alive, to cheer as the rest of us looked down sadly for the fallen hobbits.
Mary and Pippin began to cry as we made our way back to Gondor. I rode with Legolas, Pippin with Gandalf, and Mary with Aragon.
As we arrived to Gondor, joy and sadness was in the air. Joy for the survivors, sadness for the fallen.
Gandalf led us back to Rivendell for reasons we do not know. Once arriving, Elrond led us to the infirmary.
First we saw Sam, the hobbits killing him in a hug. Then Frodo waking up in the bed.
We all gave a big sigh of relief once we saw him alive and well. Everyone staid with the hobbits, as I took a step outside.
I walked to a balcony, taking in the sight and the fresh air. Footsteps walked beside me, and I knew who it was.
"Thank you, Lord Elrond. For saving them," I said facing him.
"They saved the world, from the biggest threat we've had in centuries. It was the very least I could do."
He left with a smile lurking on his face, as I stared back over Rivendell. I heard another set of footsteps coming towards me.
"You saved me. Thanks," I said.
"You saved me first. We're even," Legolas smiled.
"Well, we should be going back to Gondor, correct? For Aragon's coronation," I said.
"I'm sorry, about your horse."
"It's fine. He lived a strong life. Besides, he died doing his job."
I smiled slightly, then left him to go find a horse to ride to Gondor. Soon, we left for Gondor, proud for the fight to be over.
The coronation was something to be proud of. Aragon got the girl he loves back, and is now the King of Gondor.
When the coronation ended, I left to my horse, ready to leave and go on my own journey.
"You're leaving?" A voice asked behind me.
"Of course. We all knew that we would go our separate ways again, once the battle was finished."
"But now I have to worry more because I can't help you."
"Why is that? That you'll worry, I mean. You said that before the final battle."
He didn't answer, but kissed me instead. When he pulled away there was a slight smile playing on his lips.
Well now I know where I'm going to spend the rest of my life.
