[sage's pov]

I walked back into the dorm to find Ivy frantically picking up a pillow. I searched her face for any sign of distress. I headed to the sink.

"I'm sorry," Ivy and I said at the same time.

"Why are you sorry?" Ivy asked.

"For just leaving. I know it wasn't your fault. Just the egg. I appreciate your gesture to making me the special breakfast." A tear slipped as I remembered I lost my ring.

"It's no problem really, I didn't do anything. I'm really sorry that it went in the drain. But I got it!" She pulled her hand out of her pocket and gave me the familiar piece of jewelry.

"Oh my goodness! Ivy! Thank you so much! I can't believe you got it, how did you even?" I went in for a hug.

"Determination, and long nails," She smiled as she hugged me back.

"I really can't thank you enough."

"It's nothing. I was the one who messed up anyways. So what's the new picture you took?"

"What makes you think I took a new picture?" I smirked.

"Oh shut up, I know you. Now show me."

I handed her the picture with the glowing clouds and the bench under the tree with the moon.

"Who's that?" I knew the first thing she saw was probably the person.

"Not sure. I didn't even know they were there. After I took the photo, they were gone. It confused me. "

"Whoever it was, they're very photogenic. Don't you think?"

"Definitely."

Later, Ivy and I went out to a small diner after realizing it was only 7:30. If you looked outside, you would think its 1 am.

The diner was crowded, but not to the point of where my claustrophobia haunted me.

This is my favorite diner. The orange lights blend in with the brown walls and warm seats. Your typical cute diner.

We sat down to order our food. I went with the norm; I ordered hamburger and fries.

Ivy ordered fries and ribs. Typical Ivy.
After she ordered some cheesecake as dessert, she asked me if I wanted some.

"I'm on a diet, but I would've loved to share your cheesecake. Sorry, you're going to have to eat it all by yourself."

"Works for me!" Ivy exclaimed.

Soon it was 10:00 and I was ready to get to sleep.

"Alright night owl, I'm ready to snooze. Wake me up when class starts. Also, don't forget to bring your Canon so we can upload the photos onto our presentation."

"I won't I won't," Ivy said in the darkness of the room. I could hear her tossing in turning in her bed above mine. (I never liked to be the top bunk, even with my little sister.)

I woke up to the sound of Ivy sneezing.

"Bless you," I groaned.

"Shut up. Let's get ready for class."

We walked to the coffee shop that was on the way to Building C, where our photography class began.

Before we left I reminded Ivy to get her camera.

Even though I took that photo of the stranger on the Polaroid, I was still able to get it on the computer. It took a lot of technological difficulty. I've only done it once or twice before. Bless mobile adapters.

Ivy and I took our usual first row seats in Photography. The professor was five minutes late, but he ended up coming after he stumbled in with coffee stains on his shirt.

"Sorry I'm late. But at least I showed up. Unlike some of you some days," he looked at specific faces in the room, "I hope you all finished your power points, you will be presenting them today. Remember, tell me how there is perspective in the elements of Line. Explain when there is Shape, Form, Colour, Texture, Space, and Value. Explain those elements when you are talking about the principles of design in Pattern, Contrast, Emphasis, Balance, Scale, Harmony, Unity, Variety, and Rhythm and Movement. I know you are all thinking that this is baby stuff, but you will be surprised when you realize you probably won't get the full credit because you are all embarrassments to your family. Let's start. Who wants to go first?"

"We do!" Of course Ivy, and her impatient self, raised her hand. Honestly, I would've preferred to be last.

I stood up and logged into my computer to set it up on the projector, feeling like a high schooler again.

The first photo that came up was the photo with the rain drops on the glass of my window.

"This photo was taken when I was outside. It enhances the principle of Harmony, because everything goes together to make the photo whole."

Ivy explained the next slide, which was a photo of rail road tracks.

"This image shows Line. There is perspective in the area on the far end when everything disappears. Your eyes follow the lines that lead back."

Lastly, the image of the stranger under the tree came up.

I started to explain, "This particular picture is personally my favorite. It shows form, texture, color, shape, and emphasis. The person sitting on the bench shows color and shape, as the tree shows texture and form. The glowing cloud shows emphasis, as you can see it is the brightest part of the photo."

Professor Alfie interrupted, "Thank you, Sage and Ivy. Very well done presentation. However, just wondering, who exactly did you photograph in the bench?"

"I do not know who this person is, Professor Alfie. However, I think it is even more beautiful with them, without their identity, because it adds perspective to the picture."

"Yes, you are right. Well done. Next group?"

Ivy and I took our seats.

Right before class ended, I looked around the room to see a man get up from his chair immediately. I took in his back view, noticing a dark blue sweater.

He rushed out of the door. I found myself following him, without informing Ivy where I was going.

"Hey, wait." He looked so familiar.

That's when it hit me. "You're the person who was in my photo!" I called after him, running now.

"Yeah, so?" He said without emotion.

"Why didn't you say that it was you when I was presenting?" He stopped walking now.

"Why does it matter?"

"Why are you being so rude?"

"I don't like people taking pictures of me."

"Why?"

"Why are you so fucking nosy!"

I instinctively backed up at the sound of him shouting at me.

"I'm sorry," I sounded wimpy.

I walked away.
