[harry's pov]
I brought Sage back to the common lounge area. Her hair was still drenched, and I'm still hoping I never have to see that guy again. I was looking through the window and I saw the red-haired girl. I saw her looking over the fountain, maybe to count the coins. I wasn't sure. Suddenly I saw him run up and push the girl. It was in that moment where my feet were already out the door, a towel humorously but conveniently right on the counter next to the exit.
When will be the last time where I see that son of a bitch? I've had enough of him. Fucking prick.
"Are you alright?" Sage hasn't said a word since we went inside.
"Yeah I'm fine. You?"
"You're asking me if I'm okay, when you just got pushed into a fountain?" I smirked.
"Well, yeah. You seem more distraught than me."
My smile faded. Had I really looked that upset?
"Do you want anything to eat?" I changed the subject.
"I'm craving some pickles right now. How about you?"
"Uh, sure." That's an odd thing to suddenly crave. "We actually might have some in that mini fridge."
"Cool," Sage gave an awkward smile.
"Can I ask you something?" She turned serious.
"Sure, anything, I guess."
"Did you see who that guy was, you know, the one who pushed you?"
"No. I didn't even know it happened. It didn't really hit me, I was kind of confused. One minute I'm looking at my reflection, the next I'm cold and feel wet. I don't even remember his hand on my back to push me. Why did he do that anyways? Do you know who it was?"
"Wow, so many questions."
"I just asked two. Now answer."
"Yes. I do know who it was. And I don't know why, he's a coward."
"Why and how do you know him?"
"It's a long story."
"I've got time."
"Yeah? Well I don't."
"Stop being annoying, and just explain."
"He used to be part of my, circle of friends, if you will."
"Used to?"
Why am I even talking about him right now? He doesn't deserve to be talked about. He's done so many unspeakable shit that would probably scare Sage all the way to China.
"Yeah. Used to. Now let's stop talking about him. Let's do something else."
"Like what?"
"Something fun."
"Like a board game?"
"A board game, Sage? Really? I'm up for it." I cannot believe I'm agreeing to this.
"Let's play scrabble!"
I rolled my eyes.
[sage's pov]
I found myself wanting to actually play a game with him. Why? I'm not sure. I don't have anything better to do. Also I'm still a bit confused about what happened back at the fountain. He obviously isn't giving me any answers about that creepy dude. So I gave up.
"Let's go to my room. I have a scrabble board in there," Harry nodded the direction of his room.
"Uh, okay," God, when will I stop being awkward?
He sat down on his bed. I awkwardly stood in the door frame.
"Well, come on now." He patted the empty space on his bed. I felt a little weird about it. He noticed.
"Hey, maybe we should sit on the floor."
I smiled.
"It would be easier anyways, to play a board game on a more flat surface."
I took a seat on the cleanest part of the floor, between his desk and bed. He shook the bag of letters.
"Do you want to go first?"
"Nah, you can."
"Okay," Harry carefully placed a word down. I watched as he put letter by letter: P-O-R-N.
"Really Harry? This is a family friendly game. You've corrupted it. And it was only the first round."
"I'm not going to apologize. It's the only letter combination I saw. I saw that one first."
"Of course you saw that one first. There's also N-O and O-R in that word, you could've chosen those!"
"Yeah, but it's not as much points," he laughed.
"My turn," I rolled my eyes.
I carefully placed down F-L-O-W-E-R.
"Are we even keeping track?"
I grabbed six more letters from the bag.
"Yeah, see this paper and pencil I have? I'm winning."
"We'll see about that."
"Your turn, loser."
"Z," Harry spelled it out as he placed the tiles down on the board, "E, B, R, A."
He got a lot of points from just that word.
After marking his score down, I went. I looked at my letters. I had an I, a P, C, D, A, H, and an L. What can I spell with that that'll give me a lot of points?
I decided to just go with the word HIP.
"Hip? Because I'm so hip?"
"Shut up, and go."
He placed down the word LICK.
"Do you have to put down words that can be associated to sex?"
"It's only associated with sex if you make it,"
"Well, every word can be associate to it in a way."
"It's your turn."
After a few more turns, I ended up being the loser.
"Since I won, you have to kiss me."
"What? No. That's so middle school," I blushed.
"Fine, then winner gets to kiss loser."
Before I got a chance to reject, I could feel his warm lips against mine.
