Chapter One
I woke up covered in sweat. Miss Hannah came upstairs into my room.
"What happened?" She asked
"Bad dream," I replied.
"Come here, sweetie," Hannah said as she pulled me close to her. I could here her heart pounding.
"Tomorrow's adoption day if that makes you feel any better," she tried to reassure me. That really didn't make me feel any better. I was afraid of men and with all those men coming in, adoption day was terrifying.
The next day, the orphanage for girls buzzed with noise. The older girls helped the younger girls with their hair and the younger girls twirled around in their dresses.
At about 9 a.m. the people started coming in. Someone started looking at my friend, my best friend Charity who was six, and started talking to her. They ended up not getting her though. Nobody ever tried to talk to me so I sat on the couch reading to the little kids.
Three hours later the people started to leave.
"Thank, goodness!" I exclaimed.
"Emily! I thought you liked adoption day!" Miss Hannah said to me, surprised.
"I used to. But now people don't even look at me. They don't even notice," I replied back.
"Well, go to the signing in the park down the street. Maybe someone will find you there. One Direction is there," Miss Hannah ordered.
"Who the heck is One Direction." I thought to myself. But I went anyways. I took Charity with me.
There was a swarm of girls in the park. We were afraid we would get lost! It was finally our turn. A boy wearing stripes, suspenders, and salmon-ish colored pants was the first one. He looked surprised.
"Didn't you bring anything, love?" he asked.
"No. I live in the orphanage down the street and we don't have any posters or books or cd's like the other 1000 girls here." I replied, shyly. To tell you the truth, I'm afraid of boys.
"Oh. That's too bad," he said. He sounded kind of sad.
LOUIS POV
When she told me she was from the orphanage I felt like my heart had torn to pieces.
"Wait until I tell Eleanor," I thought to myself.
I had to send her along because the other fans were waiting. But I had to tell Eleanor.
"I'm home, babe," I called out.
Eleanor came over and we kisses each other on the lips.
"You'll never guess what I saw,'' I told her. "There was a girl there who lives in the orphanage down the street. She didn't bring anything to the signing. She came with another little girl who looked about six,"
"Oh my gosh! We have to adopt the girl!" Eleanor said
"Exactly what I was thinking," I smirked.
