“Mummy! Daddy! Come play with us!” The twins screamed. I looked over in the yard and saw them playing on the trampoline.
“Okay, Nolan and Kayd! Coming.” I yelled back and looked at Niall with Auden on his lap. He was braiding her hair. She was now 7 and had caught up, with some complications with her speech and walking. She looks pretty much exactly like Niall. Same eyes and natural brown hair.
The twins, Nolan and Kayden are both 5 and look more like me. We had them unexpectedly when the boys got off of a tour and after our honeymoon. The only way you can tell them apart is that Nolan is more spontaneous and a daddy’s boy and he wears glasses. Kayden is a mommy’s boy and usually isn’t as wild as Nolan. Everyone was shocked, but happy.
Niall got Auden on his shoulders and walked over to the boys.
“Daddy, can Auden play now?” Nolan said and Niall looked over to me.
“What do you think?” He asked and I nodded and they cheered as Niall put Auden on the trampoline. She was in a sitting position and Kayd and Nolan grabbed her hands and pulled her up. She wobbled a little bit and then fell.
Nolan looked over to us, over his framed glasses and said, “Why doesn’t she jump?”
“We told you. She has some problems, she’s not as able as you and Kayd.” Niall said and he nodded. Nolan pushed up his glasses and scrunched his nose.
“Try Den!” Kayd said, pretty loudly.
“Don’t yell in her ear.” I said, warning him and quietly repeated himself and Niall laughed.
Auden got up on her knees then slowly stood up. Everyone stopped, waiting for her to fall.
She bounced and then laughed and bounced again. I looked over, shocked at Niall and he cheered for her.
“I’m doing it!” She said, slightly slurring her words.
“Good job! Good!” I said and jumped up and hugged her. I picked her up and bounced with her as she held my hand. Niall was wrestling with the boys.
She loved bouncing. Sometimes falling, but always she would get up and just keep jumping. The boys were also thrilled that she could play with them. They held her hand as they bounced and they would show her tricks to do, like falling on their butts, then bouncing back up. After about an hour or so, they were all tired and breathing heavy.
“Are you guys ready to go inside and eat? The other boys should be coming over soon.” I said and Nolan screamed.
“UNCLE LAME IS COMING OVER?” He yelled, messing up Liam’s name. Liam is Nolan’s favorite, I don’t know why. Might I add that Liam now has a two year old daughter with Danielle. Yep, right after they got back together, they announced it. Her name is Victoria.
“LIAM. And yep. Same with Harry, Zayn and Louis.” I said and Kayden screamed. He loved Louis, that’s probably where he gets his sass from. Louis has a four year old boy named Cade with Eleanor.
I SHOULD PROBABLY TELL LOUIS TO NOT TEACH THE BOYS BAD WORDS ANYMORE. They came in last time screaming “Shit.”
As for Auden, Zayn or Harry is her favorites. She differs from Harry and Zayn, usually switching between their laps every few minutes.
“Yeah we should go in. I’m starving.” Niall said, giving me a look.
“When are you not?” I asked and the kids agreed that they’re hungry. Of course they take after Niall in that.
Niall stuck his tongue out at me and scooped the boys up and ran into the house.
I laughed and picked up Auden, and followed quickly behind.
