It took Harry a long time to go to sleep after that. So a few hours later when everyone else was getting up Harry was still snoring away. Ron, James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter on the other hand were creating a plan to wake Harry up.
“What if we just throw some water on him?” Ron suggested half-heartedly.
The Marauder’s just looked at him in mock anger. “And waste a chance to prank someone?” Sirius said as if Ron offended him.
“So what’s your plan Prongs?” Remus asked. James looked deep in thought. He took a moment for dramatic pause before addressing everyone.
“I say we cast a Silencio charm on the room then use a Soronus charm on him to wake him up.” He said excitedly.
“Brilliant!” They all exclaimed. So they did the spell and Ron muttered the spell while pointing his wand at his throat. Harry’s curtains were still drawn as he pulled them shut after his nightmare last night in case someone saw him thrashing around in his sleep, so they couldn’t see Harry.
Ron cleared his throat and said “Harry! Wake up you lazy arse!” His voice was magically magnified to one hundred times its usual sound. It would have gone all around the castle causing everyone to hear it if they hadn’t cast a silence charm.
They pulled the curtains around Harry’s bed open and to their disbelief he was still sound asleep.
“How in bloody hell is he still asleep?!” Peter asked.
Ron, not wanting to miss breakfast walked up to his bed and shook Harry very hard. Harry, on instinct, flailed his arms around. One hit Ron in the face and Ron suddenly stopped shaking him to hold his now bruising nose.
“Waz goin on?” Harry asked groggily. Everyone just stared at him.
“What?” He asked self-consciencly.
“How are you still asleep?” James asked.
“Oh, I cast a silencing charm on the curtains last night,” He added with a sheepish grin, “You guys snore really loud.”
Finally getting up, Harry got ready for a day of classes. Everyone went downstairs to the common room laughing about a joke that Sirius and James played on the Slytherins, they saw Hermione waiting with Lily and her friends near the portrait hole.
“Ah, Lily I knew you would be waiting for me!” James said jokingly. In result she frowned at him and said “I was going to go down to breakfast with Hermione, but she wanted to wait for Ron and Harry.”
James looked slightly put-out. On the inside Harry was squirming. He had to remember that his parents got together in the end and he shouldn’t worry about them arguing. Otherwise he wouldn’t even be here.
So together everyone walked down the hall talking about everything and anything. They walked into breakfast and straight towards the Gryffindor table. As they sat down James said to Harry “Remember Quidditch practice is at 7 tonight.”
Harry nodded his acknowledgment before scooping some peanut butter onto his toast and taking a huge bite. While kids in the Great Hall were eating breakfast they had no idea that they’re Headmaster was thinking ‘I wonder how long before they find out their classmates secrets. Because the new kids weren’t the only ones hiding something.’
Walking down out the Great Hall Harry suddenly smacked himself on his forehead. “I forgot my DADA book.” He said aloud.
“Do you need help getting it?” Hermione asked.
“Nah, I’ll meet you guys in the classroom.” He said waving off Hermione’s question. He said bye then ran back up to the Gryffindor Tower and grabbing his DADA book that somehow got under his bed.
