I wake up in the hospital and attempt to sit up in bed. I winced at the pain that was radiating throughout my body. A nurse entered the room, with a clipboard and a tray of food and some pain medication in hand. She told me I had a few bruises and a minor concussion, but would be allowed to go home sometime tomorrow morning. I looked around and noticed Scott resting in the chair across the room, a sleeping Mitch curled up on his lap. They must have been here all night.

The nurse placed the tray of food in front of me and left the room, closing the door behind her, loud enough to wake up Scott. He yawned and tapped Mitch lightly on the shoulder. "Mitchy, wake up." Mitch woke, complaining he was deprived of his Starbucks and that he needed his daily coffee fix immediately. They both noticed I was no longer asleep and came rushing to my side, stroking my hair, kissing my forehead and apologising repeatedly for what happened to me. Mitch decided to baby me, so he picked up the small container of jelly and peeled the plastic cap off the top, picking up the spoon and feeding it to me. "Here comes the airplane!" he said giggling. They both sang to me and we just talked and talked until eventually Avi, Kirstie and Kevin arrived. Kirstie burst into tears, crying about how I didn't deserve it and that the people at school just need a chance to see how beautiful I am. Kevin and Avi both promised to protect me no matter what. (even though they can't come to school with me but the thought was still there.)

The rest of the day seemed to drag on forever, but soon enough, it was morning and I was walking out of the glazed glass doors and stepping into the car, ready to drive home. At least I get the rest of this week off school.
