"Tony?! Oh my god! What the hell!?" I scream, kicking at him. He easily dodges my kicks and grabs my ankles. I shut my eyes. This has to be a dream.
When I open my eyes Tony is gone. Thank goodness, it was just a dream.
"Hi Honey." I turn and see Tony again. I scream. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!? I close my eyes and scream again.
I open my eyes and see light glistening through the window. It was just a dream! I get up and see Bryan standing there. "Good morning Julia!" He says, yawning and stretching.
I breathe in relief and smile. "Good morning." He gives me a twisted smile and pulls his fucking face off. He proceeds with the rest of his body as I gape in horror. I expected to see a skeleton or a lot of fat and muscle or something, but instead I saw Tony. "Surprise mothafucka." I scream and close my eyes again.
When I open my eyes it is day again, and Bryan is standing in front of me. "Are you okay? You were thrashing around in your sleep. Were you having a nightmare?" He asks, concern in his caramel eyes.
"Oh my god," I sigh, glad the episode of dreamares (that is now a word) were over. "Yes, yes I'm fine now." I give him a fake, reassuring smile. He doesn't seem to believe me but he leaves anyways. As he leaves he says, "I'll be making breakfast. Call me if you need anything."
I nodded even though he couldn't see me and snuggle as far as I can into the couch. I had gotten several hours of sleep but it felt like I hadn't slept in months. I wondered if Tony was looking for me. Or raping a girl. Or getting rid of Grace's body. Oh, Grace...
I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts away. I decided to think about what I would tell the police instead. After a few minutes of brainstorming, Bryan's voice rang out. "Come and eat breakfast!"
I trudged over into the kitchen and yawned. I noticed the stack of pancakes covered in syrup on the table. "Help yourself." He said, beaming widely at me. I definitely did help myself to that delicious heaven!
"So..." Bryan said, using a napkin to clear away the syrup from his mouth. "How did you sleep?" The question reminded me of Tony when he had asked me how I slept. I ignored the thought and replied with "Fine." He gave me a look of suspicion. He didn't believe me, especially with how I 'thrashed around in my sleep' minutes earlier, so I changed the subject.
"I think I know what I'm going to say to the police. I didn't make an entire speech, but I have the key things in place." He nodded in response before randomly giving me a hug. "Wha-" I blushed madly as he let go.
"Sorry, you were just so stressed I felt like you needed a hug." I nodded, touching my cheeks lightly as the heat subsided a little.
"So, ready to go to the police station?"
"Hell yeah."

It took a while for the police not to think that I was insane, but I had a little evidence I realized I had in the car. My scars. All those times he beat me were actually helping for once. The scars were enough to convince them to look into Tony's case, but they weren't going to send out a huge search party or anything.
Bryan and I celebrated by going to a restaurant. "Yay, I can't believe we actually got them to listen to us!" I yelped cheerfully, happiness and hope filling my heart. I was surprised at how quickly I got over Tony, but I had always been suspicious of him. Who abuses the people they love?! (Sorry for the personal question, don't reply if it's personal. I don't want to bring back your painful memories or something. ;-;)
Bryan's smile faded as he stared into my brown eyes. "What?" I ask him, blush creeping onto my cheeks. "I guess, I just noticed how cute you are." He says, grinning cheekily. "Bryan!" I yelp, blush covering my cheeks as I realize he was teasing me. He chuckles. "But for real. You are really cute." He gives me a wink but I pretend to brush it off, fighting the blush away.
We went home, or well, to his apartment, after finishing the celebration dinner.
"Hey Julia?" Bryan asks, turning to face me as I read one of his books, Lord of the Flies. "Yeah?" I reply, not looking up from my book. "I forgot to give you a gift, since you were so good at convincing the police. "Mm?" I question him, looking up at him attentively.
"Here." He says. He leans towards me, his lips collide with mine. At that exact moment I explode on the inside, my heart beating rapidly. I'm so shocked I don't kiss back. He finally pulls away, his face as red as mine.
We stare at each other for a few moments before I look away. I can't distract myself! It's only been a day since I had last seen Tony.
"Oh my g-gosh I'm s-sorry!" Bryan stuttered. "I know I only met you a chapter ago but your just so beautiful..." He trails off and looks away, his face as red as a tomato.
"Let's just go to sleep and forgot about this." He says. I nod and lay on the couch. Bryan hands me a blanket and a pillow and goes to his room. I fall asleep with Bryan on my mind.
