Dylan's POV

"Listen up space wasters!" Principal Perry yelled at us in the hallway the next day. "School play time is coming up. This year we are going to put on a new school play this year. It is about 3 bionic superhumans and their lives." She pauses and glances at Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Auditions start after school in the cafeteria. If you're gonna try out, please don't stink." And with that, she walks away.

I looked at the guys. "We should all try out for the play! That would be so much fun!" Once I said that, they all looked at me like I was crazy.

"Why would we want to?" Chase asked me.

"Yeah. Why would we want to be in a play about the life we live everyday?" Bree finished. I let that sink in and I realize they're right.

"You're right. I wasn't thinking about that, I guess." I apologize to them. "Leo, do you want to try out with me?"

He thought for a moment. "Yeah, sure."

"Sweet." I tell them.

"This is going to be awesome!" Leo says. Then all of their phones started beeping.

"What's that?" I ask them. I knew what it was because my job when Marcus had put the camera down in the old lab was to watch all of the footage. While I found it very informative and sometimes strange (Like one time there was a llama down there), I learned their habits, patterns, and weird obsessions.

"Oh, that's a mission alert." Adam says while putting his phone back in his pocket. "And we've got to go."

Bree looked kinda sad. "Sorry. We'll hang out later today." Adam, Bree, and Chase walked out.

Leo was still standing next to me. He turned towards me and gives me a weak smile. "Well, now I get to go home and supervise the mission because apparently I'm not 'ready' to go on a mission. Even though I've been on missions and been in dangerous situations before."

"Don't worry Leo. You've proved yourself before, and you will have your chance to do it again." I tell him. He gives me another weak smile. "You'll be back for the audition after school, right?"

"I wouldn't miss it." And with that, he walked out the door to follow the rest of the gang.

~~~~After School~~~~
Leo came back to school at about fifth period, but Adam, Bree, and Chase stayed home for the rest of the day.
Now we were in the cafeteria/gymnasium waiting for Principal Perry. Leo and I were sitting on the floor talking.
"Okay, tell me another story about you and Marcus as children." Leo tries to coax me into talking about my past. Again. I mean, ever since I told him that I was bionic, he's been trying to get me to talk to him about my past.
"Leo, I appreciate you trying to be a good friend and try to get to know me, but I don't really like to talk about my past. Especially my brother." I tell him. He just gives me the 'really' look.
"Oh, come on. Will you please tell me at least something about your past?"
"Fine. I'll tell you something." He looks happy because I caved. "Marcus used to be a great guy. He was nice, funny, and really cared about me."
"Are you sure we are talking about the same guy?" Leo butts in. I glare at him.
"Can I keep going please?" I don't even bother answering his question. "He never forgot my birthday, and we would always work out and train together." I take a deep breath and continue. "Then, about the time he was almost fifteen, he changed. All he was focused on was Douglas. He rarely ever talked to me, and we didn't do anything together after that."
"Was that the time he started school with us?" Leo asks sincerely. I'm starting to think that this is more than him wanting a story or to pass the time. I think he really wants to know why I want to keep this a secret.
"Yep. The first time I noticed a real change was when he came home on his first day of school." I sigh at the memory. Bad day.
"That was the time when he framed me for breaking his, I mean your, guitar. Right?" I nodded at his question. "What changed in him?"
"I have no idea. I think dad got into his mind and told him who to be." I didn't realize I was crying until the tear rolled down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away and shook my head. "Enough of that, when are auditions going to start?"
"Whenever Principal Perry finally decides to show up." Leo says. "And that might be a while."
A/N: Yeah, I know this chapter kinda sucks. But it did get into a deeper part of Dylan that we haven't seen. So that's good, I guess.
Anyway, comment, vote, and keep reading! Please ask me if you have any questions about anything that's going on. I promise the next chapter will get a little bit more interesting.
