A/N: Okay, I am aware that I said this book would be going with the episodes, but this is a REALLY important chapter, and this was the only place I could put it. You'll see when you read it.

Dylan's POV

The date: October 9th, less commonly referred to as my birthday. I wake up around 8:30, like I usually do, and go to the lab to train. For over an hour, I beat the crap out of the enemy in the simulator.

When I'm done, I check my phone to see that I got a text from Leo asking if I wanted to come over. I told him I would, then ran upstairs to take a shower.

After getting ready, I ran to Starbucks for breakfast because I have almost no food in my house. Once I'm done eating, I start walking to the Davenport house. About halfway there, I get too lazy to walk and geo-leap to right outside their door.

I was about to knock on the door when Leo opens it before I could.

"You know, for someone who can geo-leap, you sure take your sweet time to get places." Was the first thing Leo says to me before I could even walk through the door.

"How did you know I was here?" I ask him. I lean up against the doorframe with my shoulder. Leo points to Chase sitting on the couch. I nod understandingly and walk in.

"WOOHOO!" Adam comes running in as I sat down on the red chair in the living room. "NO DAVENPORT TODAY! PARTY IN THE LAB!" He stops running when he sees me. "Oh, hey Dylan. Do you want to join our lab party?" The rest of us in the living room looked at him weirdly.

"Uh, Adam, Douglas is still here. You know that, right?" Leo asked him. Adam's face turned serious in a millisecond.

"Oh. I did not know that." Adam answers. "Well, I'm gonna go wash a pelican." And he starts walking towards the front door.

Douglas comes in before Adam can get out the door. He looked terrible. He walked to the refrigerator, trudging along with his shoulders hunched and his feet shuffling across the floor. His hair was messier than usual, sticking out from all ends. His eyes were bloodshot, as if he had been crying.

All of us gave him a strange look. "Morning, Douglas." Chase says to him as he stands up. Dad grumbles in response and grabs a water bottle out of the fridge.

"Are you okay?" Leo asks him, concerned. We all walk over to the counter, trying to get more information.

"No." Douglas simply says before turning around to look at us.

"Hey guys." Bree says walking through the front door. "Woah, Douglas. What happened to you?"

"He won't tell us." Chase answers her. Douglas glares at him.

My father lowers his gaze to the countertop. "Today is Dylan's birthday." Douglas tells us. My jaw drops and my eyes go as wide as saucers. I could feel Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo staring at me.

Then I realized something. Something very important. "Wait, who's Dylan?"

Douglas looked back up at us, tears forming in his eyes. "Dylan is...my daughter." Bree looks at me, and I look back at her. I nod my head towards Douglas, trying to get her to ask him something. All she does is gives me a confused look, so then I point to Douglas.

Finally she gets it because she gives me an 'I got it' look. "Wait, I have a sister?" Bree asks completely serious.

Douglas doesn't answer. He walks over to the couch and sits with his head in his hands.

Finally, he answers her. "Yes, you do. Her name is Dylan. She was young when Donnie took you guys, and I wasn't willing to let all of you go. So I told him that she was dead to keep from taking her." We all look at him with our eyebrows raised and eyes wide.

"Wait, so was she then, like, evil?" Leo asked.

"No," Douglas continued, "She wasn't. She was actually a really good person, despite all of my attempts to change her." He let out a sad chuckle when he said that.

"Well, what was she like then?" Adam asks him as he sits down next do Dad on the couch.

I heard footsteps coming towards us as Douglas started. "She was so powerful. I never would have admitted this at the time, but she was even more powerful than Marcus. And she was super sarcastic and loud, but she was also sweet and kind. She cared about us a lot, probably more than I showed that I cared about her. You know, she actually told me a long time ago that I should've gone to Donnie and apologized, but I didn't listen to her. She's dead because my ego was too big." He buries his head in his hands when he finishes.

"Why didn't you tell me any of this?" We hear a voice say from behind Douglas. All of us look to see Mr. Davenport leaning against the support column with a upset look on his face.

"I...I didn't think you wanted to know." Douglas answers his brother's question. "Plus, you were already skeptical of me moving in, so the lie didn't really help my case."

Donnie gave him a look, then walked over to sit next to his brother. "Are you sure she's gone?" He asks sympathetically.

Dad nods. "There's no way she would have been able to survive the house collapsing."

"Unless she can geoleap." I say barely audible. Leo heard me though because he chuckled a bit.

"Wait, so I killed Dylan?" Adam suddenly asks, a look of pure terror on his face. We all shake our heads vigorously at his question.

"No, no, no, Adam, this is all my fault." Douglas tries to comfort Adam. "If I hadn't locked her in her room, this would've never happened. I just can't..." He trails off as he stands up and runs off into the hallway. Not too long after, we hear a door open and slam shut again.

"That was extremely weird." Davenport remarks. "I'm gonna go see if he's alright." He runs off to his brother's rescue.

"Okay, I was not expecting that. Like, at all." I say and everyone else nods.

Then I get four slaps on the shoulder. "OW!" I exclaim and give them all angry looks.

"Why didn't you tell us it was your birthday?" Chase asks forcefully.

"Because I really don't have the best track record with birthdays," was my answer. "Plus, Leo told me what happened this first time he had a birthday with you, so I didn't really want to go through that." That earned me three more slaps to the shoulder.

"Well, we are taking you shopping because you deserve it." Bree says, emphasizing the 'we' and 'you'.

"Okay..." I say as I stand up.

"Woo hoo! We're going shopping!" Adam shouts happily. He goes to open the door, but instead rips it off its hinges. "Oops."

We all laugh and walk through the doorway.

A/N: This chapter was important, so I had to include it. I hope you liked it! And I promise my next chapter will be an episode. I'm just not sure which.
