While her heart was still racing from meeting, or in reality, being saved from falling by Spain's Prince Charming, Cristhian, Cara walked in with upmost confidence into the director's office. Director Regino, who sat at a large wooden desk with tons of messy papers on top, smiled as he motioned for her to come in.
Her cheerful manager, Loraine, slowly walked inside with her. Cara smiled back at the director before she looked around his office. On the wide walls, there were tons and tons of awards. There was also framed pictures of the actors and actresses that starred in his films. Regino saw the sparkle in Cara's eye as she looked at all the pictures. She closed her eyes for a moment, picturing the world applauding her as she grasped the golden award in her hands... With Cristhian by her side, smiling happily along with her..."Miss Didina?" Regino took his reading glasses off.
Cara snapped out of her dreaming as she looked back at the director. Loraine quickly sat Cara down on one of the seats in front of his desk. Loraine blushed as gently patted Cara's knee.
Cara laughed lightly. "I'm sorry, I was just looking-"Regino chuckled. "Miss Didina in this world, the only thing an actress should ever apologize for, is turning down all the love struck fellas that bow to her."
Loraine gave a quick, loud laugh. "That's my Cara! She is truly gorgeous! A natural beauty that all boys would fall head over heels in love with at first glance!"
Cara gave an embarrassed glanced at Loraine who simply smiled proudly at her.
Cara laughed softly. "Thank you, you're too kind, Director. But I'm no goddess. Not like..." Cara looked over at one framed photo that was placed in the middle of the wall.
Rosella Amata. She was the goddess that the world adored and beloved. In the picture, Amata was holding another of her many awards. She was a stellar actress and was praised as an actual princess. Rosella deserved the world. She deserved such a title. Not like her. Cara Didina, the girl who's talent is being clumsy and falling into handsome actors and non stop day dreaming.
Regino sighed and smirked as he lit a new cigarette. "That is true... You are not like Miss Amata at all."
Cara gazed over at Regino and the shocking disappointment from his words felt like an anchor that was sinking deep. Cara looked down at her hands, trying to hide the hurt. Cara needed to show him she could be just as good as Rosella, and she wouldn't let the disappointment get the best of her.
"But..." Regino's bass voice interrupted her thoughts. "You are Cara."
Cara gave a confused look. "Excuse me, Director, but I do not understand."
Regino only laughed again, the smoke coming out of his nose. Feeling a little insulted that someone would take her so lightly, Cara sighed and she stood up slowly. Loraine looked up at Cara in concern.
