The Celestial Crown was incredibly fancy. All was adorned of gold, white silk, and pure marble. Cara looked up at the high, crystal dome ceiling in awe. The twinkling chandeliers resembled galaxies of stars. This was place where only actually royalty walked among. Dressed in a gorgeous, glittering short dress, it showed off Cara's slim but tall, model-like figure. Her hair was styled to the side and curled. Cara owed Loraine so much for helping her achieve a romantic look for tonight. She walked past the tables and saw adoring couples talking about their futures together. Soft, blues music filled the air. She was a little nervous as well as she felt a tight knot in her stomach.
Please let this night be just on a friendly level. Cristhian is incredibly sweet, and charming, and adorable... Snap out of it, Cara! We are here as friends only and we'll leave it as that!
Cristhian who was already seated at a middle table, immediately saw Cara. He stood up, his face bright.
"Cara..." He breathed her name and Cara heard it from behind. She turned slowly as they made eye contact, the two both felt a giant spark. It was strong in their connection and it felt intensely breath taking. Cara walked to him and Cristhian helped with her chair. She blushed once again as Cristhian kissed her hand."Thank you, Cristhian. You are a true gentleman. I'm very happy to be here tonight." She smiled happily. Oh my god, could I sound more ridiculous? Am I a lady or the Queen of England?
Cara sighed before gazing into Cristhian's eyes.
Cristhian returned the smile, a slight dimple appearing. He looked down for a moment and the two shared an awkward silence. Cara knew Cristhian was just as nervous as her, maybe even more for Cristhian had beads of sweat on his forehead and nose. From where she sat, Cara saw him gulp a few times which made her choke down a giggle. The waiter soon appeared momentarily, thankfully breaking the awkwardness. To her great surprise, Cristhian spoke the most perfect French she had ever heard.
Cara's eyes lit up. Before she was going to ask him a how his French was so perfect, Cara realized that the waiter was asking what she would like."Je voudrais que les œufs de caille et de la salade de jardin s'il vous plaît." Cara looked adoringly back at Cristhian, who surprisingly had a curious look like he didn't understand what she just said. "Cristhian? Something wrong?" She asked.
Cristhian noticed her gaze and laughed in embrassment. "I knew what you said." He raised a brow at her. "But just in case what did you order again?"
Cara threw her head back and laughed. Cristhian blushed but he watched lovingly as she laughed. Cara couldn't catch her breath but when she did she simply shook her head at Cristhian. "I am glad to be able to dine with a man of many charms tonight. Oh, and I believe the quail eggs and garden salad is a good choice, don't you agree?" she smirked before they both laughed again.
