Hajime flung himself into his mattress. Covering his face with his forearm he sighed. Two days ago he came to the undeniable conclusion that he was in love with his best friend. He strangely didn't want to see him. Feeling that his emotions might subside if they're away from each other.

     Then he remembered.

The promise he made. He turned to face the window. His face buried in the comforters. He let out another exaggerated sigh. The sky was pinkish orange at the dawn of the morning. He pulled the covers over his head and closed his eyes.

He didn't go to classes that day. He occasionally woke to eat then proceeded back to his bed. The room was in disarray. He kicked a few clothes to the corner and stretched as he walked towards the kitchen. It was bigger than a studio apartment and a tad bit smaller than your average house kitchen. He didn't need all the space, he never used anything but the microwave.
A procession of knocks played at the door. He sleepily looked up at the clock that hung over the couch. It was just about two in the afternoon. Probably his mutual friend ,Kawasaki, realized and brought is work again.
He unlocked the door, it creaked open against the frame.

"Sorry about that Kawasaki," he laughed. "I'll go to class tomorrow."

A familiar voice sung at the threshold. "That's not very studious of you Iwa-chan." Oikawa playfully pouted.
He closed the door in his face.
"Iwa-chan!" His foot stopped the door.
He exhaled and lowered his head.

"Who's Kawasaki?" Oikawa leaned towards Iwaizumi so that he could see his face. Iwaizumi began to walk towards the kitchen.

"I have lecture hall with him. So we hang out sometimes." He shrugged.

Oikawa folded his arms against his chest and furrowed his brows.
"I wanna take a bath. Can I use your tub?"

......Huh?
"Hell no!" Iwaizumi exclaimed.
"I was only kidding...But did you hear about the storm later?" Oikawa took off his jacket and threw it on the couch.
Don't get comfortable asshole.

"Yeah. It's gonna be pretty bad."
"Iwa-chan I'm gonna stay here for the night, if you don't mind."
Yes I do mind.

He said nothing as he reached into the fridge. Oikawa snickered.

"Did you take a bath Iwa-chan?"
"Not yet, why?"

Oikawa looked towards the ceiling trying not to laugh. Iwaizumi continued to squint with merged brows.

"Gah, stupid Oikawa!"

Realizing he'd been wearing his boxers the entire time he fled to the bathroom.
From behind the closed door he could hear Oikawa yell that he'd be starting dinner.

If I can remember right, isn't Oikawa afraid of thunder? Or something like that. That's why he wants to stay overnight.

The pitter-pat of the water against the tile of the shower. The hot water that cascaded down his back. He felt himself resigned. "Iwa-chan, want me to wash your back?" Oikawa mocked.

"Stay the hell away from the door you bastard!" He picked up a bar of soap and threw it at the door.

"Fine. Fine. Dinner's almost ready by the way."  Afterwards Iwaizumi didn't hear him by the door anymore.
Tsk, is he a housewife? I never asked him to make dinner.
Iwaizumi leaned his head against the wall and turned the water off.
